I don't know if this has been discussed because I don't get on this board often, but whose side are you taking in this issue.
Personally, I think Haynesworth is being extremely unprofessional. I would do nearly everything asked of me if I were receiving $100 million. So you have to practice and play with the twos...
...get over it!

Hard to argue with a superbowl winning coach. Also I assume that Haynesworth is a lazy bastard based on his fatness.

That pretty much sums it up

Anyone who is on Haynesworth's side is a communist.

I agree.
I also think Shanahan is looking like a douche.

They both look pretty ridiculous. Shannahan is the coach so he at least has a leg to stand on.
Unfortunatley this signing was done by Jim Zorn and Vinny Cerrato, before Shannahan and Bruce Allen came on board. They inherited the Haynesworth issue and with Snyder cutting his $20 mil bonus check this spring, they can't get the OK to release him. Its just going to be one big pissing match for the rest of his tenure here.
The problem is that Haynesworth is not going to respond to Shannahan's coaching style. Shannahan requires effort on the part of a player. Haynesworth dosen't want to practice and when he has a game wants to play maybe 50% of the time. Under Zorn he could just go strait to Snyder, complain about being sore or hurt and take off all week and then just jump in the game. Portis did this end around of Zorn as well. Now Shannahan is laying down the law with Fat Albert and he aint happy.
This will not end well

Which is why he showed up at camp 30 pounds lighter this off season.
Both are being unprofessional, and you can't really assign blame to one over the other. Shanahan is an egotistical douche, and Haynesworth is a coddled primadonna.

It basically all AL. This shite about headaches and being dehydrated is bullshite. My buddy bar tends at a big bar area up here and saw fat Al getting hammered the night before the practice he had to miss due to being dehydrated. Along with numerous people posting the same thing on the skins message board.

The dude couldn't pass one of the biggest jokes of a conditioning test of all-time. There's no one I know who couldn't pass that.

said this before and I kinda don't blame either one
Haynesworth is doing what he perceives in his own best interest (in a league that usually doesn't allow players to do this). He signed with the Redskins with the intention of playing a different position than Shanny wants him to... he won't miss real time that costs him real money but he's entitled to skip any off season practice that doesn't take money out of his pocket
Don't like that? Sorry, people aren't treated as equals in the NFL - they get treated differently based on how important they are for the team and how much money they invested into you
Shannahan is an elite coach with superbowl wins on his resume. He knows how to win and the last thing he can afford to do is let a player assert his ability to make position choices (that is his job as coach).
So, he's making Albert pay the piper now that he finally showed up. Any old school coach (maybe anyone not named Wade Phillips) probably does this whether or not it makes the newspaper

I fault the coach over the player. I think he should have been the "bigger" person and squashed the situation. He did the complete opposite...he fanned the flames....all to show "who's the boss"....personally, it's a rather archaic management style that is counterproductive no matter what type of business you are in.....my father always told me "Never wallow in the mud with a pig...you both end up filthy and the pig loves it"

Shanahan is clearly in the wrong. He is the one that mischaracterized Haynesworth's ailment.

but he did pass it the first time, then Shannahan came back and said he took too long of a bathroom break and had to do a third 300-yard sprint when everyone else only did 2. Shannahan could've avoided the whole situation but he tried to call out Haynesworth n it's costing the team now

Clearly
Especially when your ailment is caused by being out of shape!
