I always read comments of how miles will be calling the plays, miles wants a puppet for an oc, miles puts too much input in the offense. Just wondering, but where is the evidence of this? The style of offenses we ran with jimbo and crowton were completely different. Where does this perception stem from?
After the malveto debacle, I'd be shocked if he promotes from within!

OC candidates

Who is on the market right now or a legit candidate for OC if crowton's out?

Enjoy it while it lasts AU fans

Posted by LSUsaints87 on 11/14/10 at 10:40 am
You better enjoy this while it lasts! Because as soon as CN is gone, AU will be mediocre again. I'm not taking anything away from you guys this year because this year's AU team is Great. But, CN is the difference between being undefeated and a 5+ loss team. After he's gone, get used to mediocrity again. Gus Malzahn will be gone to be a HC soon, the AU defense-as an entire unit-is Awful, and minus CN, Fairly, and Dyer, there are only about 4-6 NFL prospects on this team. CN and Malzahn are the true master minds on this team, NOT chizik. Sorry, but true.

S. Moss and Bradshaw are number 1 in their respective positions on their teams.

Not worth the trade for MJD who has not produced this year on a highly struggling offense.

Keep your 2.

good trade?

Posted by LSUsaints87 on 9/28/10 at 3:17 pm
My brother offered me this trade:

He wants Jay Cutler and Legadu Naanee for Donovan McNabb and Mike Wallace.

I accepted the trade. My starting QB is Peyton Manning, so cutler was doing me no good on the bench and I needed a good WR for when my 3 are on bye weeks (Moss, R. White, Maclin). Also, Washington plays Chicago on Indy's bye week and I won't need Wallace until after Roethlisberger's (sp?) return.

Good Trade or did I get the shaft in this one?

Very well written! Now if you could seriously send it to Miles and have him read it. You could always email it to the Les Miles show on Wednesday! Just a thought.

He has excellent body control and concentration. Truly a joy to watch on a weekly basis.
LSU-26
WVU-17 (one of which will be a garbage TD)

Injury updates

Posted by LSUsaints87 on 9/22/10 at 7:29 pm
anyone have an update on the injuries or a link to them? couldn't find any good info.

TIA
...they will be extremely dangerous. I saw a lot of progression on offense last week but still a long way to go. Defense looks great and special teams even better. Hopefully it will be this weekend, but whatever team it is over, it will be a sight for many sore eyes!

Peterson

If he continues to play as he has, it would be a travesty if he didn't get invited for the Heisman presentation.

Arizona

Posted by LSUsaints87 on 9/19/10 at 9:33 pm
So, Arizona beats the number 9 team and moves up 10 spots?! They looked good, but that's a huge jump when teams ahead of you are also undefeated. But, who am I kidding, this is the AP poll--the same poll that gave USC the AP title over LSU in '03-'04.
I'm NOT in a PPR league for the record but RB are just as valuable as WR in our league.

I'm trying to decide between the following:
1. Legadu Naannee
2. LaDanian Tomlinson
3. Dexter McCluster
4. Peyton Hillis

Who should I start?

Does it hurt his fantasy value in your opinion.

re: Jarrett Lee question

Posted by LSUsaints87 on 9/12/10 at 7:07 am to
I agree. Maybe that's the case with jarrett lee. To be honest, I'd rather see a QB take some chances and throw some interceptions versus these pathetic performances by jj! Hopefully we will see a change. I think that is the spark we need to get the offense rolling! It can't get any worse honestly!

Jarrett Lee question

Posted by LSUsaints87 on 9/12/10 at 6:56 am
Is there talk of him getting the start next week? I've seen many threads on him. What are the odds he gets another look at QB?
I think Mullen would do the most with the talent provided at this time. Plus, he would actually give the ball to his play makers unlike Crowton's dumb arse!

More upset with a win?

Posted by LSUsaints87 on 9/6/10 at 12:13 am
My friends and I were talking last night how we had never been so distraught after a win. People always say, "a win is a win," but that was painful. It seems like this happens more often than not as well. I can't think of many times that Les Miles has just put his foot on the accelerator and never let off.

Sad thing is as well...EVERY fan of LSU and casual fan of football notices the problem...except those that make the decisions (i.e. Les Miles, Alleva, and Crowton). It's becoming so painful!

Al Woods

Posted by LSUsaints87 on 8/24/10 at 5:31 am
Any word on how Woods is progressing?
I don't know if this has been discussed because I don't get on this board often, but whose side are you taking in this issue.

Personally, I think Haynesworth is being extremely unprofessional. I would do nearly everything asked of me if I were receiving $100 million. So you have to practice and play with the twos... ...get over it!
If the offense improves significantly this year, I think we will begin attracting more QB's. But frankly, it's disappointing that we can recruit at a top notch at every position except the most important, QB.
The West WILL win the SECCG this year. The east is way too weak and that includes UF. Any time you lose your MVP on offense and defense, you're going to have growing pains, despite how good the backups are.
I'm going to visit a friend of mine in Metairie for opening weekend of CFB. He just moved there and doesn't know a lot of the "hang out" locations. What is a good restaurant to go to and watch CFB for much of the day?

TIA

question for UGA fan

Posted by LSUsaints87 on 7/26/10 at 7:51 am
I'm looking to buy something UGA in nature online for my friend, who's obviously a UGA fan, for Christmas. Do any of you have a good website for UGA merchandise? Also, some old school newspaper articles or sports illustrated would be nice.

TIA
You can't blame them. The odds are definitely against us.

Super Bowl teams don't exactly do very well the immediate year.

But, with that being said, I do believe we will be in the playoffs either as a wild card or representing the NFC South. The NFC South winner will be between us and the Falcons.
