A co-worker mentioned this to me a little while ago..What's the deal?

i know they actually started serving dinner a few weeks ago ... i haven't eaten breakfast there in about a month .. but the last time i was there it was still ABE ..

the change to new concept is on the 30th, same owner, same staff, just new name and hours to include dinner.

Got tired of paying franchise fees?

been doing dinner for 6 months, but couldn't attract enough of a dinner crowd with the ABE name.

wow, thanks, hoss .. that's news to me .. i see dixie has some really good info too .. like i said, i knew they were trying dinner for awhile there ... personally, whenever you see someone change their name from their nationally successful franchise name to their own personal, local name, that is not really a good sign ... also coming out of the blue and serving dinner isn't a great one either ... sure, it is going to get sugar coated initially but another broken egg is a very successful franchise name around the country .. hell dick vitale is their biggest pimp on the planet ... cash hits the nail on the head too in here ... not trying to start an ABE shite storm thread, but you and i both know there was a lot more to the story of their closing the george o'neal location than met the eye at the time ...

TR, is this you? TigahRag had a nice small screen career. Not much of a streach to get into character though

Dicky V. doesn't talk about the broken eggs we know. He talks about the one in Sarasota Fl. That restaurant is not affiliated with the ones we go to along the panhandle and here in La.

It is confusing...took me a while to figure out too.

yeah .. when you google "another broken egg" about the fourth entry down is "broken egg" and you can clearly read "not affiliated with another broken egg" plain as day ... so i am assuming there has been some pretty massive confusion before ...

This is pretty strange because I think the owner of the one in br is the same guy that owns the original in mandeville.

This is true and I believe he owns all of them.

I am pretty sure the old mandeville guy owns the one in BR too. The ones in Laffy and Destin are franchises.
