Preferably in the loop. I know they exist... I make my way to Ragin Cajun in the tunnels downtown every once in a while and am always left disappointed.

I second BB's cafe if you are close to downtown/midtown.

A bit off the beaten path in Kingwood is a place called Zachary's Cafe. Owned by a guy from Baton Rouge (big LSU fan as well) and the food is legit.

I have been to BBs many times. I don't know if they have oysters again or not...They didn't the last few times I've been.

BBs has some shoestring french fries and good bread.

ROAST BEEF or BRIE CHEESE poboy at the French House on Westheimer (near the galleria) wins hands down. No better poboy in houston than that brie cheese masterpiece.

Zachery's has pretty good food and Abita beer on tap. Big LSU fans and nice setting. I have been several times.

Meh....I'm over poboys.

There are much better options in this city for food than searching out half-assed Cajun/Creole food.

BB's Cafe is the only option in Houston for Cajun/Creole food.

their poboy's are really good too.

the french house is not remotely 'half assed' in any way and i'm not sure 'cajun' was a requirement here.

they bring in that brie from france and its the best i've ever had.

it may be good, but when i think of a poboy i don't think of:

ROAST BEEF or BRIE CHEESE

i think oysters, catfish, half/half, gulf shrimp, etc...

You don't think of a roast beef poboy when you hear poboy?

That's almost a golden standard, homes.

Those 2 streets parallel.

***westheimer and fountainview after a google search.

Klark, nothing is better than a good 7 napkin roast beef poboy. The trick is finding a good one though.

i dont like hot sandwiches but I'll make an exception for a RB poboy.

that's whay I had at BB's and it was fan-freaking-tastic

i would suggest BB's for a HtownLunch, but y'all in the burbs get a bit freaked out by the ghey area of town.

I'll vouch for the BBs Roast Beef as well. Very good po-boy. And their fries, topped with queso, and roast beef is the shizzle.

I'll have to try out this Frech House though, that does sound good.
