Just looking at some of the all-time records and wondered which will never be touched. What say you? Numbers provided for reference.
Hits: P. Rose, 4256. Closest active player: D. Jeter, 2847
RBI: H. Aaron, 2297. Closest active: M. Ramirez, 1827
Home Runs: B. Bonds, 762. Closest active: A. Rodriguez, 597
Hit Streak- Joe Dimaggio, 56. Closest in modern era: P. Rose, 44.
Wins: C. Young, 511. Closest active: J. Moyer, 267
K's: N. Ryan, 5,714. Closest Active: P. Martinez, 3154
No-Hitters: N. Ryan, 7. Closest Active: Couldn't find the stat on MLB.com, probably a few pitchers tied at 1.
Shut-outs: Walter Johnson, 110. Closest active: R. Halladay, 18
I know these are just a few of the records out there, but they're some of the biggest. Which will fall?

I figure someone will get Bonds eventually. My main deal is looking at some of the others and wondering if they'll ever be touched... and I really don't think most of them will be.

CY Young's records will never be broken ever..
I am not sure a pitchers could do it today with 35 starts a seasons.
I think A-Rod breaks the RBI record as well as Homerun one

2632 consecutive games
.690 career slugging percentage
1406 career stolen bases
5714 strikeouts
613.90 Power/Speed Number (750+ HRs and 500+ stolen bases. Forget about it. Nobody's coming close.)

I think that any of the pitching records that were set during an era of 3 and 4 man pitching rotations and no pitch count (e.g. career K's and total wins) are the most unbreakable.

Rickey Henderson's 130 Stolen Bases Season
Rickey Henderson had more stolen bases during the 1982 season than some teams have had in an entire season. For example; in 2002, only the Florida Marlins, Kansas City Royals, and Seattle Mariners stole more bases as a team than Rickey Henderson did by himself.
They will never touch his career record. Blee dat!!!
His 1,406 career steals is 50% more than the previous record of 938 by Lou Brock
The Greatest!!!!

Despite Bonds being a juicer, the fact that he is the only member of both the 400/400 and 500/500 (HR/steal) Club is pretty indicative of his talent level.
I still think he's one of the best hitters to ever play the game... But that's a debate for another thread.

ARoid will break it, and then Pujols will re-break it. Nevermind that last part...i read something wrong.

This is the only other one that might ever be broken. Pujols and Aroid have a slim chance at it too.

I agree. A buddy was debating me that he thought Ryan's no-hitter and K record would both be broken. (That's what prompted this thread.)
I'm a huge Nolan fan, but don't think that I'm wearing too hard of tinted glasses when I say that neither of those will be touched. The fact that there are only two other pitchers in MLB history with 4 or more is pretty telling. (Pretty sure about that, just Koufax and Johnson, right?)

Johnson only had 1. Koufax had 4. Cy Young, Feller, and Larry Corcoran (1880s) had 3 each.

This is the one I always list in threads like this
Also, some guy in the 19th century committed 4 errors on one play -- doubt if we'll see that one broken

My bad. only further validates my point.

DiMaggios 56 game hitting streak. Can you imagine the media if someone gets close?
