Most consecutive no hitters- Johnny VandeMeer
This is the one I always list in threads like this
I figure at some point someone might throw back to back no hitters, but no one will ever throw 3.

DiMaggios 56 game hitting streak. Can you imagine the media if someone gets close?
That was one I forgot to add. Thanks. Don't think that one will happen either.

I can see somebody getting that. A fast leadoff hitter that doesn't walk gets 4/5 chances every game to get a hit. With some luck a guy like Ichiro could do it.
I could see a bunch of the offensive records getting broken, but some of the pitching records (wins, strikeouts, shutouts, etc.) have no chance of being touched.

The Cubs 102 years, and counting, WS drought will likely never be broken either once they finally win one.

Some expansion teams may come close to that. Only time will tell, and the streak is certainly ongoing.

This is the most unbreakable record in all of sports. A pitcher could win 20 games a year for 20 years and would still be 111 wins shy of the record.

4 Man Rotations and a pitcher going 8 innings every game for his entire 26 year career and we are close

110 shutouts. To put that untouchability into perspective, no one will probably ever even get 110 complete games in their career again.

Mark Beuhrle has two no-hitters, including a perfect game. Hank Aaron has some pretty unbreakable records: 25 All-Star Games (tied with Mays), 6,856 total bases, and 1,477 extra base hits. With Aaron, people often forget that he's not only the all-time home run leader, but he's also third all-time in hits.

He is extremely underrated as an overall baseball player. Some people only associate him with the homerun record, but dude was a top 10 player of all time.

I'm not so sure about that. Think of how many expansion teams have come into the league and gone to the world series since the last time the cubs made an appearance

Wasn't there some high school kid or college kid that threw 3 or 4 no hitter in a row about a year or two ago??? anybody remember this story or am I wrong on this.

If Ichiro play another 15 years, he could possibly break the hit record.
