Nola did not. Looks like the guy from Florida will be the SS.

Nola had a really good trial, but the competition was too tough at SS and the other guys had other factors in their favor. Fontana is only a freshman and Maggi can play almost any position.

As much as it pains me to say, Fontana is probably a better SS than Nola, by a small margin.

I don't know much about the pitcher, but George Springer was a pre-season all-american going into last season (don't remember which publication thought). But it's not like this team is being made up of a bunch of scrubs.

Nola made the team but declined it to go to the Cape league. I don't have a link but know him personally.

This is awesome, gives me a reason to actually follow this team now. No curveball will fool Mikie next year after he sees the sickness from the Japaneise and Korean pitchers

Dugas should have made it...good fielder, high on base percentage, can hit for some power, walks alot, good batting average, low strike out ratio. Why not take him over Mahtook?
