Does not surprise me one bit from what I've been hearing from those involved in the turtle rescue in Mississippi.

nothing really surprises me with them anymore...

Seriously... How hard can it possibly be to scoop "surface" turtles out of the water before lighting the oil on fire? It's not like these are vast stretches of ocean they're encircling...
I'm actually kinda shocked by the lack of involvement by the traditional Enviro-warrior powers. Where's the PETA and Greenpeace brigade hiding out? They've been AWFULLY quiet through this whole mess... I would think they'd have a whole calendar's worth of photographs by now...

With all the antics BP is pulling does anyone doubt this?
They bar researchers from even doing regulary scheduled sampling, bring in prison work release guys for a mock cleanup crew as a dog and pony show, numerous evidence of them hiding and getting rid of dead oily seabirds.
Yet people want to blame the Govt for this disaster and how dare the govt make BP pay for this damage. mindboggling.

Where has anyone said BP shouldn't pay?

Other than people arguing that they shouldn't have to pay for workers laid off due to the moratorium?

I do blame the government and the reason I blame them came out in their congressional hearing the other day.
They allowed BP to build this rig in a manner that went directly against the engineers recomendations. The engineers told them the correct way to do it and then B submitted a proposal that was way less safe that what the engineers suggested and our government approved it.
it was probably people like that fricking idiot that appologized to BP the other day that was on the approval committee.
Welcome to America, land of the bought and paid for government. Our politicians are a bunch of chicken shite corporate arse kissing whores that are available to the highest bidder.
What a joke we have become.

So true. We are a comedy and a tragedy at the same time.
In the end BP can use every dime of cleaning to write off in taxes.....we pay for it in the end.....all of it.

Who the F--k does BP think they are dictating traffic in the entire Gulf.
Obama and the clueless Feds need to grow some B-lls and make it clear that this is US territory and guess what, BP does not own sh-t.

This is so sad...we have all the regulations in place to cause people to follow a detailed procedure, the engineers knew what to do, yet the company cuts corners because they know the "bureaucratic checkers" that we pay for with our tax dollars would do nothing to interfere.
What a huge waste
