But MJs #s are way better than Kobe's - doesn't he have about the same # of 40 point playoff games as Kobe has 30 point playoff games?

I don't know, but I do know that Kobe has had 11 40 point games. Jordan had..........38

and FYI Kobe played on a 34 win team (04), a 45 win team (05) and a 42 win team (06) in his prime

Jordan played on a 38 win team (84), a 30 win team (85) and a 40 win team (86) in his first three seasons

but anyway, I hope Boston wins for more reasons than just getting to see everyone outside LA get to tell Kobe to go frick himself once again

They were the same age at that time...

Kobe's career path is so hard to project to others because we won SO early..he was winning championships at 22.

You have to count his early sucess but then you have to consider that he wasnt the focal point at the time, so he wasnt going to be able to put up jordan points.

I think the Lakers will pull out game six, but expect the Celts to take game 7.

You do realize that Kobe and Jordan were only 2 years apart in age during this respective time of their careers. Kobe was 24 in 04. If he was in his prime then, then Lebron only has one more year left in his prime now.

I think Boston tastes the blood and wraps this thing up in 6.

I think Boston raps it up. Bynum will not be effective. If he was hurting in Game 5 after 3 days rest, he's going to hurt much worse to start game 6. He lasted all of like 6 minutes in being effective before his injury took over.

There is much more pressure on the Lakers obviously, and they haven't been in this position since the 08 Finals. How they respond will be key.

In the end, the results will be determined by the officiating. If its going to be ticky tack foul calls, Lakers might get the advantage as the less aggressive defensive team and foul trouble could screw over the Celtics. If its called like real playoff basketball should, then I think the celts win by 7.

Game over.

I don't see the other Lakers responding positively to Kobe being a prick. As good as he is, he alienated himself from his team by ignoring them on the offensive end of the floor and then being a jerk after the game. Even though he is absolutely correct and has every right to be angry, he handled this situation horribly. You can't tell your teammates that you need some *&)%ing one to make a stand with you, right after you take 12 shots in a row. And, I don't understand why everyone expected the rest of the Lakers to play harder defensive possession after possession while Kobe is throwing up retarded shot after retarded shot (even though they were falling).

Derek Fisher and maybe Luke Walton are the only two guys I expect to respond well to Kobe's antics.

Celtics by 15.

Championship teams close out a series as soon as they can. They don't screw around. They finish it. If the Celtics really want to take home the title they need to respond with their best game and end it tonight. Otherwise I take LA in Game 7.

LA is dazed. Boston needs to lay the knockout punch.

FIFY

Also - I think the officiating will definitely play a role in attempting to force a Game 7. But Boston is the more cohesive team that has grown together during the series while the Lakers have separated because of Kobe's crybaby antics.

Celtics win.

Lakers win tonight, Celts win Game 7. Lakers have only lost 1 home game in the post season, so it will be tough but I think the Celts can do it.
