The remaining 10 teams have power brokers at a table as we speak and the Big 12-2 is almost a done deal.
Basically a 9 game conference schedule, no championship game.
They are opposing media heads and are apparently getting first hand info, as they are both saying damn near the same thing via Twitter.

yeah, you know who are the big winners in all of this stuff so far?
The Big 10 and maybe the SEC - Big 10 gets a major new player, a CCG, and adds to their profitability via teh Big 10 network.

How are they getting more money with fewer tv markets because of the loss of Nebraska and Colorado and the loss of a title game?
Makes no sense to me. Sounds to me like Texas simply could not move to the Pac without A&M so they are trying to save face by staying in a horrible situation.

Sounds like Texas scared all of the smaller Big 12 schools into a corner to give them a bigger piece of the pie...

I think they tried to pin it politically to A&M and are now stuck since A&M agreed to stay put
But yes, the conference as it currently stands should make less financial sense than it did before... if they can somehow command over 20 million per year in football rights for two major teams then the SEC should be getting 30-35 million as they are currently constructed

also....Texas will be ok for now, that is all they care about. If any of this is even true.
