What is it? I want something as close to Louisiana as I can get.

Cook it yourself if your expecting to find good gumbo, jambalaya, etouffee here in Houston.

If you want pretty good seafood, go to Goode Company Seafood.

Try Zydeco downtown. Im not sure they are open for dinner but definitely open for lunch. Their chicken fricasse on Wednesday is tough to beat

Not a Ragin Cajun. The po boys are served on a damn hoagie roll. I demand french bread.

This place is actually decent:

BB's Cafe

Poboys and gumbo are the best I have found. Also, they have Abita and Daiquiris to go if that's your thing.

Does anybody remember Gator's? It used to be by a Two Peso's near Kirby Drive. Really cool cajun restuarant, closed down many years ago though.

Try Abe's Cajun Market in Clear Lake (Exit Clear Lake City Blvd off 45 South). Also, Floyd's is very good. We go to one in Pearland, but I think there is at least one other location in Houston. Those are the two that we like.

I second Abe's and Zydeco

walking into zydeco is like walking into your grandmothers house when she's cooking. took me back home immediately

I'm not a huge fan of Rajun Cajun. It's alright, but nothing great.

Treebeards can suck a fat one for putting cheese on their red beans and rice.
