ummmm yes
Tommys
Irenes
Moscas
Vincents
=creole Italian. Some here disparage it. It can be done wrong depending on the restaurant. Those four do it very very well!

Creole Italian?
Don't forget:
Mandina's
Sal & Sam's - RIP
Impastatos
Messina's
Tony Angello's
Bull's Corner - RIP
many more
For my tastes, the world's greatest cuisine

In fact, there are few "pure" Italian restaurants in N.O., whether Northern Italian or Sicilian.
ETA: I love Mosca's, btw.

That isn't dirt, it's ambiance.

I guess. I just don't care for paying that kind of money to eat at a place that looks like it could fall down and has gravel for a parking lot. They can take their cash only policy and shove it up their arse also.

That's why they invented ATM's.

bullshite! I don't carry cash and I am not going to make a special trip to an ATM and drive across that death trap of a bridge to go eat there. It is pretty good, but not a destination restaurant in my book.
Bunch of tax cheats.

If there are oysters, it is not true italian...just saying...
So, my answer would be no, b/c it can't be true 'italian'- but I haven't eaten there and probably wont

You should atleast try Mosca's. It is a great dining experience. It doesn't hurt that I know the family well, but it is pretty damn good.

I live in Hoboken, NJ....when I go back to La, I want cajun/creole, etc...I can get better -or just as good- italian up here. I can't get cajun/creole up here....
So, it wasn't a bad thing- just a logical thing for me

I can't disagree with your logic. You just sound like your ex. Who I know. Mosca's is a pretty damn good place. My treat to you both if that is cool.
