wonder if the photographer did anything to help these birds or if he was just there to make a few bucks selling the pictures he took

You let things like these play on your emotions, you are weak. BP wants this thing capped just as much or more than everyone else. They are losing $25 million dollars a day in cleanup and will lose billions in lawsuits. They have absolutely no incentive to cut corners on safety because things like this can happen. They are doing everything they can and have the smartest men in the industry working on it. Your comments do nothing to help this and just prove how ignorant you are. If you really want to help volunteer and go clean up some oil.

They could of done stuff, quit doing shite on the cheap. Many oil and gas vets refuse to work for bp for this reason.

not you man, the OP. It is unreal and its a terrible tragedy but I was just making the point that sitting around bitching about BP solves nothing and is a waste of time.

I'm afraid nothing will be done until more states get affected by oil.

Being around affected areas the past couple of weeks. BP is still God or acting like it and the people in general still think very highly of BP. There are a few who think otherwise, but everyone is letting BP call all the shots and what can be said in news conferences.

I overheard a conversation I probably have shouldnt overheard and BPs tone is dispicable. They want very little coverage on oil spill now and want people to talk about the moratorium and how devastating it'll be to the local economy.

Yea, so thats why BP was spraying even more crap into the Gulf that hurt the wildlife more than the oil itself? Smartest men, maybe; but using the least expensive cleaning agent that is still toxic to the enviroment, just pisses me off. And Boohoo BP is losing all this money, I really dont think the people's lives who depend on fishing the gulf and the animals dieing in it give a shite about the well being blocked up because people dont want to lose millions of dollars, I think they want it damned so their lives can return to normal(or atleast as normal as they can be after this diaster). And if BP is so concerned, why werent they taking precautions day 1 when the oil rig blew up. I mean surely their smartest men couldve seen where a potential problem could have arisen from leaking oil?

So where is this and when were these pictures taken?
Only asking, because in week one of this mess, some hacks were taking old photos from other oil spills and putting them in articles about this one.
