If Green Bay really turns out to be our biggest obstacle in the NFC, then home field advantage will be HUGE. Brees, Bush & Co. could be rendered worthless in Green Bay if the weather is brutal.

Home field advantage goes through the Dome. If not, Brees and company are money in GreenBay or the North Pole

All of you underestimate the power of the Madden Curse. #5 is high with Brees on the cover.

Goatmilker,

It's a free country, dude. If you want to be an a-hole, that's your prerogative. First of all, I said "could" and not "would". But let's be honest. Warm weather teams, especially teams that make their mark with the passing game, tend to struggle in cold, wet weather. Remember the game against the Bears 2-3 years ago? The Saints offense was very ineffective that day, even though Bush made one big play.

That's why I said that home field between the Packers and Saints would be HUGE. Nobody wants to play in Green Bay in January, bro.

But by all means, keep the smartass comments coming, jerk off.

I agree warm weather teams struggle in the cold, but you can't say that was the reason we lost the game. The bears defense and special teams was the only reason they made it that far.

Easy there Nancy.

Why so sensitive. If your going to call your shot of a on the road playoff loss between The Saints and Pack (possible) before summer camp even starts you must expect a little feedback.

While in theory, I agree that no one wants to play in Green Bay in January. I think the Saints would be ok.

Also, did you say would or could, cause it seems like you are saying would.

Have faith brother.

ETA: Also, this team was in the top of the league rushing wise as well last year. It isn't 2006 anymore, this team is improved in a few areas.

Worthless? That is kind of a stretch huh? I mean Brees played at Purdue, Colston at Hofstra, and Pierre at Illinois so it is not like they have never played in the cold weather before. And I think Hollywood Bush would be ok as well.

Seriously, be a Saint. Become a fan. You might enjoy it.

Just shut up now. He was just giving his opinion on a hypothetical situation if it were to actually happen. And don't play it off like you were just giving feed back. You were being a jerk and acting like he was moron for suggesting that. And the comments from all of you about how you are not a saints fan if you think they might lose a game are really not necessary either. That's just flat out ridiculous.

Probably sh used the word "ineffective" as opposed to "worthless". Poor choice of words.

Couple of points, though. When the 2010 season starts, New Orleans will control their own destiny re home field advantage. My bigger point was, let's take care of business and not have to worry about playing a game in Green Bay in January, where the temp could be -0-, with a wind chill of -30. Sorry, but that would have a big effect on our #1 rated passing attack. If you ever get a chance to watch that Chicago game again, notice how many dropped passes we had. And it wasn't nearly as cold that day as it could have been.

Look, home field advantage probably made the difference between New Orleans and Minnesota last year, and weather would not have even been a factor in Minnesota.

That was my point. Home field is always a big deal, but the last thing the Saints want to do is play in Green Bay in January. So, take care of business so you don't have to.

ETA - I'm a huge fan. I just think playing GB at Lambeau in January would be really tough. Honest opinion, boys.

Goatmilker,

Not picking on you, bro, but thought I'd do a quick search to see if you always believed in showing 100% "confidence" in your team, no matter the situation. Well, well. Imagine my surprise when I found a thread, which you started, where you talked about not having complete confidence because "the playoffs are a one and done deal".

Little bit of a double standard there, goatboy?

your link would have a little cred if I had ever said the words above jack-hole. Since I have never said it your point is as worthless as tits on a steer. Hope your a lawyer for BP because your logic sucks arse.

As for my quote in the context of the thread I stick by it.

And yes the word 'worthless' was poorly chosen.
