only 5,000 gallons, bbls. or 24,000 of the same for that matter? No one knows, because the media is controlled by your government. We all here what they want us to hear and see in the news; whether it be in the papers, on the tube or on the net.
You all are living in a world of lies (naturally I am too, because it is dark in here, too dark to see). We all have the same problem as the people working down at those depths (5,000') with their robotic instruments trying to see what is really going on. One thing for sure, the creatures in the sea are suffering and does mankind really care? If mankind can't revolt against companies like B.P. and T.O. drilling, with the understanding that if this had been done in some other part of the world that the treatment of their Big Boys would be coming down allot harder than it is in the G.O.M. This is beyound stupid; it is Mega Stupid and that is the action from all of the higher ups that were involved in this situation. Enjoy your gumbo while you can and take no pity on the future of the wildlife that inhabit those regions???

OK to answer your question. They do have a formula that is used in spills. Depth of oil X area X (Some factor)= bbls. in the spill area.

I've seen this used before and is very close to the spill amount.

actually, the official release estimate (5,000 bbl/day) is the number BP said. Not the government.

Congratulations on the stupidest post anyone's made on this board, though!

Cause the news makes money off of disasters and scaring the shite out of people. They are going to report the max amount.
