I don't hate it, but I didn't play it when I was young.
There were not many youth soccer leagues in BR during the 80's.
However, my boy's first sport will be soccer just to get into something athletic this summer.

A lot of reasons.
For one, it's boring as hell. I don't see how people can watch it and get so excited.
The fans are bigger idiots than the Gumps. Killing refs? Stadium riots? Come on.
And another is because it was shoved down our throats when the World Cup was held in America in the 90s. Worse than the WNBA when it was formed.
I'm sure it's fun to play, but this is America dammit. And there's only one football.

I don't watch it much, but I find the World Cup interesting. I think there's a lack of "stars" in soccer, at least to Americans.
