lured to where? This is as good as it gets, unless he has MLB aspirations.

I think he goes. Tons of schools out there with better facilities, better attendance, and more money. It was just a matter of time, we were lucky to have him this long.

Queue the "PM Appreciation" thread.

I agree, I just wonder if any schools would throw a big offer to him.
I don't imagine him going to MLB.

Like who? I'm positive LSU could match any offer.

Unless they could offer him 3 times what LSU would pay him, it wouldn't be a smart move.

makes sense, I can't see any college paying that big to get a baseball coach, but you never know these days.

Lsu is to baseball as Bama/Texas/USC is to football. You just dont leave those gigs unless you're fired or you go to the pros.

Lured away to where? He's already coaching the best program in college baseball.

I'd say Texas is to college baseball what Texas is to college football, but I'm biased. There is no reason to leave LSU baseball, I'd be shocked if it happened. Texas is pretty happy with our guy right now anyways

The only school that could possibly lure him away would be Texas when Garrido retires but they will probably go after another west coast guy.

I don't see PM leaving, not with the facilities and resources at LSU. Plus, with the national title, he has no more pressure other than to do it again.

PM has already come out and said he will be at LSU for another 10 years at least and will probably retire after that. He has no pro aspiration either because that is a different animal. MLB players show more respect to those who have gone through MLB as a player or asst.
College better suits PM otherwise Hendry would have him in his minor league org. Minor leagues would be a step down from LSU in prestige and the fact you play so many more games.
