I’m quite proud at this one: was watching Trading Places, the scene where Eddie Murphy’s character was in jail, just at a quick glance before he’s released, I recognized the guy on his left is Gus Fring, Giancarlo Esposito.

Damn. Nice catch.

As a child, Tim Matheson (Animal House, West Wing, etc.) did the voice of Johnny Quest in the original 1964 series.

My most recent was James Spader in Stargate. I guess all that hair was a good desguise.

This is a fun thread, but I just don't understand the posts of a famous actor who looks EXACTLY the same when young and old ... and who everyone always KNEW played both roles shown in the photos.

It isn't "WTF." It is "have you been living under a rock for 50 years?"

e.g. "I just realized that the actor who played Maverick in 2022 was ALSO the actor who played Maverick in 1986. ... MIND ... BLOWN."

For Cruise, the WTF might (for example) be from Tropic Thunder.

You didn't recognize James Spader in Stargate? I would think most people associate James Spader more with the Stargate look than with the bald pic you posted

Speaking of always sunny, Paul hauser played a juggalo in one episode. I think it was his first acting gig. He is the guy that plays Richard Jewel and the killer in black bird. Dude rose to stardom pretty quickly.

And as an additional reminder, for those of you who haven't watched, I, Tonya (Hauser plays Eckhardt), obviously it is Robbie's movie, but Allison Janney (who plays Harding's mother) and Hauser try to steal every scene they are in. It's as solid a comedy as it gets these days.

Clive Swift, whom I always loved in “Keeping Up Appearances” was also Arthur’s dad in Excalibur. I noticed this about six months ago. Just now getting around to positing it
