NOLA Brewing is releasing it's new Hurricane Saison this month. Can't wait to try this one!

South LA is starting to turn out some good craft beers. NOLA expanding, Heiner Brau rolling out its new Covington Brewhouse line later this month. Bayou Teche Brewery with its Biere 31. Good stuff.

I've been impressed with the Blonde, and Brown Ales from NOLA. I haven't gotten a chance to try their IPA yet. I love a good Saison though, so I'll definitely be on the look out for it. I hope they start bottling soon.

I like both the blonde and IPA, their brown is good, but I like I prefer Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan when it comes to browns.

Had the Hopitoulas at Chimes the other day. Very good. I also saw they have those bladder bags of it at Mathernes on perkins.

I have seen NOLA mini kegs at Bet-R. They are 40 dollars and equal to a case of beer (as they say on the box). This seems pricey. Anybody had one?

I've read about the Saison, but don't believe I've ever had one. What's the deal with them? Comparable to?

We got one for the super bowl. If you want craft beer on "draft" it is worth it. If everyone at your party wants to drink out of a can or typically does that then it would not be worth it in my opinion.

I think I'll pick up a couple for St. Patty's Day.

Can you not get kegs of NOLA or quarter kegs? Seems like it would be a lot cheaper.

Not sure, but I don't want to mess with a keg.

Has NOLA worked out their distributor issues yet? I enjoy the brown, but it is hard to find. Wish they would start bottling.

As far as I know that thing is still an issue. I know the owner and he hasn't said anything dispariging about it. i assume it's still ongoing. I know that Lazy Magnolia tried to cut in on their market by altering the name of it's golden ale to "Nawlin's Golden Ale". It really pissed NOLA off. The saison promises to be good. If Peter uses the homebrew recipe I tried a while back it's outstanding.

I am not a big fan of the blonde.
Lazy Magnolia has a 64oz jug now with a porter in it that was pretty good.
