Or more like the NCAA selection committee doesn't always do a good job of seeding.

no, they were seeded accurately. Had they not won their conf tourney that year, they would not have even made the regionals. If they weren't in such a bad conference they wouldn't have made the regionals. They just got lucky and got on a hot streak.

They were 32-27 before the WAC tourney with a losing road record. Not exactly the resume of an at large.

Arkansas mauled Kansas 15-3. Jayhawks are supposed to be pretty decent this year, but fhey obviously didn't look good tonight.

Read a few weeks back Kansas lost their best batter due to injury. Think I remember that he isn't supposed to be back until Big 12 play starts.

Safe to say, we shouldn't spot them 8 runs?

Go Lions!

Actually saw some of last night's blowout of Jackson State. Hope they keep it up against the Cajuns!

I heard Pam Anderson goes to their games on a regular basis (from a reliable source).
she does go to their home games often and also hosts team cookouts at her beach house in Malibu. She's like a team mom

But she is very careful to stay far away from the fire.

Pepperdine has one of the most beautiful campuses in the country and yeah California has some great baseball. I have been to several games in Malibu & the "scenery" is awesome!

to what? Certainly not LSU's championship last season, when they won the SEC regular season and tournament.

If Fresno St played in the Big West instead of the WAC, they would not have made the post season.

You chose not to address the other parts of my previous post, which is fine, but to say that LSUs CWS title is anywhere near as big a fluke as Fresno's was is just flat out stupid. You can't compare a top 8 national seed to an automatic bid team.

It was sarcasm regarding your ignorant statement about Fresno State being lucky. You don't win the CWS on LUCK alone.

People will be surprised by them, but they shouldn't be. There is a lot of great baseball played in Cali, it's just a different style than we're used to. I wouldn't mind going watch a few Pepperdine games at their home field, I heard Pam Anderson goes to their games on a regular basis (from a reliable source).

Your source is right. She, along with other celebs, are Pepperdine athl. boosters. She lives like 700 feet from the campus and the baseball stadium. Like Craig T. Nelson, who funds the crew team. My husband attended and worked at Prep-erdine, and they won the College W.S. in '96 (I think, around that time, anyways).

Kansas pitching gave up 14 walks, hit 2 batters, and committed 1 error. Hits were pretty even at 11 for hogs and 10 for jayhawks.
