Best qb in state but it looks like we are going for out of state qb's. He has all the physical tools and has a great arm. Only negative I see is he may a bit slow but I think he runs at least a 4.8. To me he looks like a solid 4 star pocket passer. Do you think he doesn't fit Crowtons system? What do you think?
Zack Oliver

Probably later on as a back-up plan if we can't get one of the higher rater players (Kiehl Frazier, Teddy Bridgewater, Marquise Williams, etc.)

so far, he has offers from NW-state, and Ark State and Tulsa.

Not one BCS conference offer.

How are his grades?

He will probably get some BCS offers pretty soon. The guy has a cannon for an arm.

Do coaches/rankings consider decision making for QB's?

Poor decision making skills overcomes a lot of 40 yd speed, arm strength, and even accuracy.

Zack Oliver

They better bc they need a rocket arm like his. Was Brett Favre real fast? Dan Marino was not very fast huh? They turned out all right. Oliver will do the SAME

Grades are good - that won't be a problem. Have grades ever been a problem on anyone coming out of Catholic High?

I've seen 85% of his games over the last two years and am still not sold on him. He has a lot of characteristics of Jarrett Lee - strong arm but seems to often make the wrong decision (force pass into double coverage, take the sack when he should throw it away, etc.).

Rivals.com only shows offers from Ark State, NW and Tulsa (non-BCS schools), which tells you something.

If northwestern offered then grades not a problem. one of the better if not the highest academic school of all the big tens.

Just so we can all be clear for the 4th time, we are referring to Northwestern in Illinois.

The camp circuit will be big for Zack. I expect him to thrive there in 7 on 7 drills. He is physically impressive and 7 on 7 drills perfectly suit his strong points.

Like LSUGoose said, he does trust his arm too much at times, but that is a common occurrence for top flight HS QBs.

Saw him against WM last year and came away unimpressed. Taylor Burch was better and didnt get an LSU offer.

I think Zack is in many ways different from Jarrett Lee. With CHS' run to the semis, his confidence is growing. Only downside for me is: he's losing top wideouts Brad Nelson(Nicholls State) and Jovhan Jilbert and the receivers next year will be untested
