great example. i believe with our coaching staff in place and the caliber of players, a cancer would never survive. this organization will never be brought down by a player. he would learn to shape up fast

I don't want the Saints going anywhere near this guy.

You could easily understand him wanting to be in New Orleans, though. To quote him, "I likes me some scrip club."

My issue with him was his poor performance in his most recent opportunity, not his perceived character issues. I don't think that he beats ou Jenkins or Gay in the secondary, and he certainly isn't an improvement over the guys we have returning kicks and punts.

Ding Ding Ding!!! We have a winner.

Plus his character sucks. He's no Anthony Hargrove. Hargrove had to beat an addiction. Jones is a grade A scumbag.

I'd rather not risk Porter's pro bowl season next year to have him returning punts

I think it's more likely that Devery gets the job than Porter, but regardless, Reggie will keep the job.

Meh, you can always hope that the light will turn on for these guys. I mean, it finally turned on for Chris Henry, and then he died.

But the big difference is that Henry was still able to play at a high level. Jones was an iffy NFL CB prior to his suspension.

Jones sucked arse with Dallas. Now he is a year removed from football. He will suck even harder.

That's an understatement. He was a mediocre corner prior to his first suspension, sucked in Dallas, and is now a year removed from sucking.

He can pretty much only help a team as a return specialist and POSSIBLY as a nickleback. Even then, he's spent two of the last five years away from football. NOT a good thing.

Was it a matter of the light turning on or just that he hadn't gotten caught in a while. The circumstances of the young man's death still lead me to believe that he didn't have it completely together yet.

+1 He had one good season as a return man and that was it. I still don't see how his name draws so much attention.
