frick blockbuster/high budget flicks... movies that stand the test of time are what matters to me. I think that Count of Monte Cristo (2002 version) is one of those flicks that never gets old, and also gets better w/ time... what say you?

I've seen it several times... I absolutely love it. Caviezel is great.

Awesome, awesome movie. One of my favorites of all time...
"Pack all my files! And tell that idiot clerk to find the ledger!"

The book was much better . . . and much, much, much longer

The movie was fantastic but the book gives such a more detailed plot regarding how Dantes plans his revenge and is a little more fulfilling.

My grandmother's grandfather wrote the book, Alexandar Dumas

Wow. From WAY back in 2002? It's amazing how it's stood the test of time, especially without some major restoration/remastering project.
J/K It's a great adaptation of a great book.

Excellent film, happens to be one of my favorites. As a matter of fact, I just popped it in randomly a couple nights ago.
A nice adaptation of one of the greatest stories ever written.

Yeah, this movie is awesome. Guy Pearce is one of the most underrated villains ever. Luis Guzman is very good as the sidekick/henchman, the movie has just the right formula in rise and fall of action, the chick is hot, it isn't too short, not to long either. Everything is great about this movie.

That's because revenge movies rule.

I will always remember it because it was great, and it was I and my wife to be's first movie we saw together on a date.
