Unless you REALLY like beer, don't get the cheese fondue with beer in it (Can't remember the technical name).

because it's a gimmick and most people are suckers for gimmicks.

Why would I pay someone to let me do their job for them?

You're going to get a lot of people say they hate it and it's stupid to pay someone so you can cook your own food.

That being said, I've been a few times and it isn't a bad experience. If you've never been then I would say check it out because it's not bad food and the experience is cool if you've never done it.

It's good for special occasions but not for a Tuesday night meal.

Um...that's what fondue is y'all.

If you go, keep in mind all of those statements. Yes, they're all true, but that's the point of a fondue place. I've gone a few times, and always had a really good experience. I think the food is pretty good, and I like the long, laid back, unique dining experience.

Go before dinner for an appetizer with the cheese, or go after dinner for dessert.

Don't have dinner there - waste of time, and nothing special.

Well...I am a regular there, for the past two years my girlfriend and I have gone there almost every week. However a couple of months ago we kind of quit going as much. We love it. It gets mixed reactions because most people don't understand it, but that is there deal not mine. We always get the garlic and herb cheese, and the yen yang chocolate. As far as the middle course goes we normally don't get one. We get pretty full of the two. If I were to get a middle course I would get the french quarter one or its something like that your waiter or waitress would know. Just for the cheese and chocolate is arounf $40 depending on how much you drink.

no, he's right.

melting pot: you spend $100 (for you and a date) so you can under/over cook tiny pieces of meat in a boiling vat of overpriced oil and water.

why not go to ruth's chris or flemings and let someone who knows what the hell they're doing cook your food to a T.

imo but i've had 3 shitty-arse experience with melting pot and yes, i'd rather have a big mac and fries. at least that has some flavor.

eta dessert is good. do what others say and eat somewhere else first and go there for an erotic dessert.

eta2: i think they charge $7 to add 'cajun essence' to your vat of boiling water. LMAO. really? SEVEN DOLLARS for a couple of shakes of sometihng that looks like salt?
