what will it take in '10? I think anything less than 8 regular season victories. 8 wins is probably the worst case scenario, because that's the ultimate in terms being in limbo. 9 or 10 wins, and he gets the proverbial vote of confidence.

If ESPN were to poll Tiger Nation about if want to see see Miles in '11, would the "yes" vote exceed 50%

Probably, but if you asked the same thing about crowton it would go the other way (under 50%)

4 or more losses, and more embarrassing, inept game management, and a clueless offense.

And still he'll be kept if he has the #1 ranked recruiting class in the wings as many predict.

It all depends on how the team plays. If they are undisciplined and clealy unprepared.... The record will be 3-6 losses anyway...

I hope we win 10 or more, Rich Rod flounders, and Michigan comes calling for Miles.

Talk about best case scenario.

Less than 10-2 and he's gone, unless he somehow wins the west going 9-3. They wouldn't role him over after going 9-3 this year, they won't do it next year. At that point, I think he only has 2 more years on his contract. He'll be fired.

look were going to win 8 maybe 9,are OFF is going to suck,Crowton is going to get fired. Then were going to be stuck with LES for 2 more years and not Win an NC,Arkansas and Alabama are going to kick the crap out of us for 3 more years.....If u agree with Les your signing up for 3 more years of losing to Arkansas,Alabama, and sooner or later Auburn will be back, then when we have a 6-6 year in 2012 he will get fired

We would have to go 6-6 or worse in the regular season for Miles to get fired.

I think this is entirely possible. If indeed Les takes LSU to a BCS game this year and Rich Rod flounders, Miles would very probably be near or at the top of Michigan's list of possible replacements.

Harbaugh is the only other high-profile coach with Michigan ties, and he's made several disparaging remarks about the school. Plus, I believe his next job will be in the NFL.

I'm convinced that Michigan would only pursue coaches who have either played or coached at UM, after having gone outside of the Big Blue family and been burned as they badly as they have been with Rich Rod.

It's not going to happen. Miles will NOT get fired after any winning season at LSU. They would let him finish out his contract and then just not give him a new one. The reason, imo, is twofold. 1. To avoid an expensive buyout and 2. To not scare other coaches away who would be interested in the HC job in the future.

I disagree. If the performance does not improve and we win less than 9, he is out. Performance is the key here.

Don't think that will happen. HCs know we pay well and are the only big dog in a talent rich state.

GTFO or change your team alliance to whatever shitty SEC school you're actually a fan of.

I thought 2009 was supposed to be his season for "improving" after what happened in 2008. We certainly didn't look very good this past year, so why wasn't he just fired then?
