Why are tiger fans in such an uproar....

regarding the future of the program?
Lets take a look back...
The 2008 season miles had to kick off R. Perrilloux, who was slated to take over as the starting QB, and had to roll with a walk-on Harvard transfer and a RS freshman who wasn't ready to play. That season ended 7-5 regular season and 8-5 with a bowl win and what was expected given the production out of the QB position. The shouldn't have been a sole tiger fan out there who thought we could've won more than 9 games max that year.
The 2009 season went exactly how most of us thought it would go 9-3 during the regular season. The team again had to break in a new QB this season and the production of the offense suffered b/c of it. Yeah, there was trouble with the play calling, the offensive line, lack of use of RS and such, but the point of the matter is they were still breaking in JJ. Even with all the problems we encountered this season we still was close to winning 10 or more games this season.
This upcoming season we should see GREAT improvement and the WANT to get better on both sides of the balls is prevelant. LOL Just had to throw a traditional Miles statement in there. But seriously, we have athletes all over the field and with JJ gaining experiences from last season and the position coaching changes we have made thus far, I believe we can be a very good team next year. I seriously believe that we can we at a minimum 10 games next season. I just don't get it how so many people on here thinks that the tiger football program is heading to the medocrity years of the 90's.
Given all that Miles has accomplished thus far in his tenure and the dilemmas he's had to overcome, he deserves credit and backing of the LSU faithful at a minimum of two more years to right the ship. I believe he can get the job done.
Fear da hat!!!

Because most of the Nega-tigers are too young to remember the many years of bad to mediocre teams/coaching we sat thru just wishing every year LSU could be regarded as a top tier program.
LSU fans (on this site) have become a bunch of spoiled snotty kids.........

seems like Miles is getting in the way of success at LSU...bone headed coaches, not playing the right players...just overall not worth my arse hair...

No we remember all too well, and see that pattern repeating itself now.

It not like we're paying for him....85% of his paycheck comes from Boosters

So you don't contribute anything to TAF?

Two seasons of 8 & 9 wins make a pattern??
Just wondering how many seasons ole Cholly Mac would have lasted in todays internet fueled world?

I look at loses not wins. We lost five games in 2008 and another 4 in 09, that's mediocrity defined.
I don't think he should be fired right now, but another mediocre season and we should, especially if we lose another game like we lost the Ole Miss game. 1-7 vs Bama, UF, OM and Arky the last 2 years speaks for itself.

Sometimes I think this board is like a home for assholes.
We have a great coach and a great program! Thinking we will win BCS every year is ignorant, and unrealistic. I will be happy to compete with the Alabama's and Florida's, as we have been doing.
Oh and yes I am a TAF donor, and damn proud of it!

Getting old? It's the truth. Any program in the country would suffer if they had to kick off their All-American #1 Rated QB in waiting. Say what you want, but that had a big affect on the the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

I wasn't upset with the 9-3 record. Losses to UF, Bama, & UM, were expected. The UGA game was a huge question mark before the season.
What's frustrating is the lack of improvement and execution of the fundamentals of the game--both coaching and player wise.
Aside from Jasper's fg kicking, what area were you extremely confident in or pleased with?

It was a different era where money didn't rule college football. We can't afford to continue paying top dollar when we don't get top performance. Alleva said in his letter that nice seasons aren't what we are about.

I know many here want to blame all this negativity on the internet, young spoiled fans, etc. But Alleva didn't send that letter out to satisfy them, it was sent to satisfy the other fans who are paying for this program.

This is stupid. Coaches go away from what works and sticks with what doesn't.
500 in the sec with 1 win over a top 25 team in the past 2 yrs.
Why is it so hard to believe we are in an uproar with these numbers?

Who's fault that LSU only signed one quarterback in that class. How about the fact that Les is about to make the same mistake again, think about this.....if Jarrett Lee trasnfers, and Zach Lee goes to pro baseball, we are back to square one next year, and if there is an injury it could be disastrous.

Because a lot of folks believe that Joe Alleva=Joe Dean.
I know Saban gets the credit for our success, but Mark Emmert was truly the visionary that turned us into a championship caliber program. The last two seasons could be seen as a sign that this vision is gone and that the administration will accept the status quo as long as it's still turning a profit.
I've been a Les supporter, but based on this season's performance it appears he is either
A)incompetent
B)doesn't give a shite
I think it's more likely B, because I haven't seen that competitive fire in him since the BCSNCG, and I don't think we will see it again from Les. All we get now from Les is this coachspeak nonsense that ignores the elephant in the room.
The administration doesn't give us much confidence that they will steer the ship back on course, either.
