that was WORSE that NS's fake punt call or Mack's shovel pass that turned into a td
(prob cost tx game).

I know OM was bad but it wasn't worse.

We are some improved qb and lineman(def and off) play away from beig back in the hunt.

the dozens of predictable run-run-pass-punt three-and-outs that I saw were right up there. The back missed the ball.... not a bad call.

I agree with this.

Dont agree with this though, it was a dumb play, however dont think a failed play call no matter how silly is on the level with the incompetent management of the clock by our staff.

Saban looked pretty stupid on that play.

I don't hate the shovel pass call. That was a fluke play for Bama. Texas could run that play 100 more times and that wouldn't happen.
There are not many more plays safer than a shovel pass.

Now, the fake punt. WTF was he thinking? The Texas player making the INT was moronic as well.

Really? Alabama dominated y'all. The shovel pass hit the receiver right in the hands. If he just catches the ball, 57 doesn't pick it off and rumble into the endzone. That was definitely a momentum changer but by no means can you chalk up that one play as the reason why Texas lost.

With Les Miles, it was as much about his lack of decision making that hurt LSU i.e. clock management at the end of the games. Crowton called shitty plays all year long. I can't point to just one that stands out as being monumentally shitty but together they all equal to a giant pile of fail.

You're right. I"m glad Miles is the coach of our declining program over those two clowns.

Im just saying that tx gave up 7 points for NOTHING.
They had 30 yrds of offense after CM went down.
It was 13 secs left in the half, and they were fortunate they were only by 11.
Im not saying it was the sole factor but I guaerantee you if would have been LSU on side of that helment instead of a steer, thats ALL that would being discussed on radio and internet today.

I couldn't agree more. What mental issues you reckon that player has? I'd say that just may have been his first "play" made all year.

It's just the sheer number of bad calls all year. But the worst is continually running the option with JJ when it hadn't been successful all year, especially when done to the short side of the field.

how do you justify that as being a "worse" call?
Seriously.
Did you watch the game?
Did you see how things were going for tx offensivly?
DId you pay attention to field position and time remaing in the half?

Dude its not even close.

LSU lost to four teams this year. One was the national champion. One was the number three team in the NATION. And, Penn State, the No 8 team in the NATION. The FOURTH loss was to a team which benefited from a coaching mistake. He acknowledges that.

We are fielding a VERY good football team. This was clearly a "protect the qb", and play conservative year. The coaches didn't give a rat's arse about statistics. They wanted to WIN. AND, they did a pretty damn good job.

and that is fine if you are content with being a top 15-25 program. I'd like to do a little better.

While you are at it why don't you include Julio Jones choosing to not cover or fair catch the kick off which TX recovered (was JJ not coached up for that situation?) or the Bama up man who chose to let the kickoff hit him resulting in another turnover recovered by TX. Bama's kick return teams sucked and so did McElroy, he completed 6 passes. It would have been a very interesting game if McCoy had not gotten injured.
