I am in the market for a 30yr term life insurance policy and would like some input on anyone willing to shares' experience with different providers and rates/coverage if you don't mind posting.
Looking for something with $500-750k in coverage.

That is cheap for that kind of coverage.
I was quoted $111/month for 30yr $500k coverage through prudential.

I recently made the change from AIG to Lincoln Financial.
I have a $1 million 30-year term policy and I pay right at $60 per month.
I'm 35, non-smoker.
My wife (31, non-smoker) has a policy for $750,000 30-year policy and pays right at $38 per month.

Take a look at www.zanderins.com...Zander will give you a large list of insurance companies with quotes for the insurance you choose...This is at no cost to and they get a fee from the insurance company you go with. This is the company Dave Ramsey pushes pretty hard.

New York Life. Shoot me an email, I know a good guy over there.
I stopped buy New York Life about two years ago but they were pushing whole life pretty hard and didn't have a 30yr term.

I didn't get pushed on the Whole Life but it doesn't surprise me.
You may be correct because he only offered me a 20 year.

Try Aviva. I have an annuity and life insurrance policy from them with a 2% floor and an unlimited ceiling.

THANK YOU! I contacted those guys after reading your thread and got a second $500K / 20 yr. term for $350/yr. That's about 1/2 of what my current policy costs.
Thanks for the heads up!!!!

Go ahead and accuse me of sounding like Dave Ramsey, but Zander Insurance is great to work with.
They gave me five quotes from different carriers for two different coverage amounts and two time frames(20 total quotes) and turned it around in less than 24 hours.
There was a pretty big spread from highest to lowest price in each grouping so shop around.

Are you really searching for the cheapest premium? I understand that in this economy budget is tight but you do get what you pay for.
I would look at a mutual company. You can research stock vs mutual.

I carry 300K but I'm not married and have no kids. Premium is around $13 a month. I went with The Hartford. Decent premiums if you ask me.

None of my business, but why have insurance at all in your situation? You can tell me to piss off if you like.

I have a sister and a nephew that I want something left to. It'd give them a good foundation.
