I like the hire. Former OC at Louisville in '07.

Probably going move from the wing-t to the pass happy bunch.

Thank god! The offense this year put me to sleep.

That's about as big a home run hire as Nicholls could ever hope to get. Stubbs is a good coach.

Very good hire. I did think that Hud Jackson would have had the inside track here. I guess being that his dad coached here already kinda hurt him. Kinda the been there done that thing.

Can't wait to see a wide open offense now.

Doesn't matter. We all know who the class of the SLC is year in and year out.

Give you guys credit. It does help that McNeese is the only thing you guys got going for ya'll out that way. Just kidding, wish Nicholls State was supported like McNeese is.

he is a long time offensive coordinator for schools such as Alabama, Oregon St., Memphis, Tulsa, UNLV, Louisville and most recently Central Missouri. i believe he was the 1999 sec offensive coordinator of the year when he was at alabama..pretty impressive resume and is big into passing...it will be a drastic change from the option but should be fun to watch!

Cool, hope he works out for Nichols. I really don't follow the SLC closely, but hopefully he can bring some positive PR to Nichols athletics!

"I'm excited about the opportunity to be here at Nicholls, and I am ready to face the challenges ahead. We have a lot to do in a little amount of time, and one of those things is to get to know all of my returning players. I'm looking forward to meeting those young men," said Stubbs prior to his press conference.

Does Nicholls have a decent passing QB on roster?

Class of the SLC? Hoodrats maybe. Lake Charles blows goats. Your team is usually good but always seem to choke in the playoffs.

I really doubt that they have a passing QB on the roster. I am guessing they will have to go and get one from a D1 school or Jr College. Maybe Jared Lee would transfer, might work. I do think you have to be able to run as well with the spread option.
