Is this typically free to the public? Entertaining for a youth team to attend?

Kentucky Trip Ideas

Posted by UTiger on 10/3/21 at 10:02 pm
We travel with the tigers once a year. This year we chose the Kentucky game. We will have a 7 & an 8 yr old.

Anyone have suggestions for things to do or is there a place where LSU fans will be?

My bro and I are bringing our 7 yr old boys. Any good ideas for game day without wearing khakis and a polo?
I thought they weren’t sending out the details until Thursday?

How did you get your info?
How many did pitches did he throw?

Love this kid. 31 carries for 139 yds and 1 TD.

Bluuuuuuueeeeee!!!

re: Dillon Gordon... move him to OT??

Posted by UTiger on 1/1/15 at 9:14 pm to
You mean, He only TRIES TO block. I get that he isn't an OT but the fact that we use him as such allows him to judged as one. He is a horrible blocker. Absolutely pitiful!

I second that but LR has made improvements of late that have made it a lot more bearable.

I'll make my overall judgement after the trip.

Fayetteville needs to liven up a bit before I give them the nod.

Of course we like beer.

Is there usually talent there?

Places to go in Fayetteville

Posted by UTiger on 11/14/14 at 3:37 pm
First time up here. Gotta say it's pretty nice.

Anyone have suggestions on somewhere to go tonight while we're here for the game?

Went to Dickson St earlier but it was pretty dead around lunch time. Is there a Walk-Ons type place on or around campus?

re: Where to watch in Boston?

Posted by UTiger on 10/9/13 at 9:09 am to
I know you guys said that Baseball Tavern near Fenway is the place to watch LSU games but the Red Sox are playing on Saturday at Fenway.

Any clue if there is anywhere else we may be able to gain control of the tv's and watch the football game?

Searched LSU fans in Boston last night....nothing yet.

TIA
When do they replay these games on tv. It seems like last year, the games were on CST the weekend after. Anyone have any clue?

Tupelo Food and Drink

Going to be staying in T-town for the Ole Miss weekend. Anyone know anything this town has to offer as far as dinner and drinks for Friday night?
Did they play at all? I didn't notice Reed on the field, if he made the trip at all.

No I'm in BR now. Thanks for all of the suggestions. Any place here that would carry these brands?

$20-$50 bottle. I will be buying 2 or 3 of them so the cheaper the better. Best bang for your buck type of thing.

I don't usually drink it but my fiance's family is coming over for NYE and thought that it would be a great addition to the celebration.

Any suggestions for a decent bottle that won't break the bank.

I think its safe to say he can throw better than the qb's we have on campus. He definitely can't hurt us.

Anyone know where and when this joint will be opening?

Looking forward to see the college talent that will be frequently visiting this place.

Class of the SLC? Hoodrats maybe. Lake Charles blows goats. Your team is usually good but always seem to choke in the playoffs.

I hope Don Carthal and Mickey Joseph are in the hunt for sure. Mickey is a hell of a coach and was a hell of a player. Don has a proven track record of taking over bad seeds and molding them into good programs.

Why the hell is Kent even being hired? He is a freakin joke and doesn't even have respect from his players now. He shouldn't even be a collegiate coach. He would be another worthless hire.

All in all, whomever it may be I hope they don't share the funds from the First Down Club with the rest of the athletics. If they do share the funds, there will be a lot less money donated thats for sure.

re: Nicholls St

Death is exactly what is going to happen the first year anyways to be honest. Those players loved Coach T and were very hurt from his dismissal. He was definitely a players coach and did all he could to keep them afloat.

As hard as it is to say, I think that new faces, schemes, philosophies is the best for Nicholls right now. I'm not sure that will happen though. Nicholls is on a very tight budget with athletics and can't seem to keep any good assistants longer than a one or two seasons.

I think they should slowly move out of the option into a more balanced attack. The freshman qb is the best thrower that I have seen in Thibodaux in a long time and it seems as if there are some receivers that are willing to go get the ball. Staying with the option kills the defense. Hence the reason why they were on the field all year long. 3 and out all year long except for the game against SLU/ The defense is not the major issue in recent years. They tend to hold their own until the end of the ballgame and that is a sign of coaching and fatigue. Besides, they have put a few players in the pros recently and they are both getting legitimate PT. Shouldn't be a problem to get players on the defensive side of the ball with Gruden saying "That kid Webb from Nicholls State" every chance he gets on MNF.

Did you bring St. Arnold back to LA or did they start shipping it here and I just haven't seen it?

re: Nicholls St

Posted by UTiger on 11/25/09 at 2:58 pm to
If Hud gets the job maybe people will start going to the games and Nicholls can stop counting on the visiting team to pay the bills.

Seems like a good fit because he is from Thibodaux and all but is he ready for a head coaching job. How many years was he at UCA and prior to he was a high school coach in Morgan Shitty right? If he takes the job he needs to make sure that they can hire some quality assistants or he'll be hurting for coaches.

I hope he can bring us back to the top like we were when I played for JT. Geaux Colonels!!
