I love your sig quote. How many losses in a row to both of them will it take before you quietly and sheepishly change it? Or will you have the balls to keep it up for the (likely short) duration of Miles' tenure here?

LSU has a better chance of beating bama and UF next year than losing to them. Theres a sig quote for you.

ok, besides the obvious failures at ole miss. we essentially lost to 2-#1 teams by less 10 or less points. the alabama in game in ttown could have easily went the other way.

What logical proof do you have to show this? We are 1 of only 4 teams to play in the seccg in the past 3 years, we WON the national championshpi 2 years ago. If we win our bowl game, which we have the past 4 years, we will have 4 out of 5 years finished with at least 10 wins and more than likely will finish in the top 10 for 4 out of 5 years. You are completely insane if you look at that and think we are doing anything but staying consistent. We were a few plays from playing in the seccg. to win the national championship you have to have a lot of things fall your way, they haven't happened for us, but that doesn't mean that we have fallen back in the pack. We finished 3rd in the SEC this year with a sub-par performance on offense. Really all you did was say something that you had nothing to back up with and now you look stupid. Alabama and Florida have done something these past 2 years that is really really hard to do and will more than likely not happen every single year. But we have only had 1 year in the past 6 or 7 where we have not had a legitimate chance to win our conference but we are falling in the middle of the pack? REALLY? You have got to be kidding me

This board is becoming virtually unreadable. Are you freakin' kidding me? We will have more wins this year than any two Curly Hallman years put together. This year's record will be as good as the very zenith of Dinardo's career. You people are astoundingly stupid!

Why are you leaving out 08/09?

Why do the Sabanistas always leave out 2002 AND 2004?

I don't call being eliminated from the race with a month to go before the title is decided having a "legitimate chance". We have lost the SEC West by a combined eight games and two tiebreakers in the past two years.

We used to trade wins back and forth with the top teams in the conference, while consistently beating the mediocre ones. Now, we trade wins back and forth with the mediocre and consistently lose to the top.

Yes, it's really really hard to legitimately and deservedly EARN four million dollars a year. Urban Meyer and Nick Saban are doing it. Les Miles isn't.

We did finish 3rd in the SEC, but we are a hell of a lot closer to to the #6 or #7 team than we are to the #2 team. We are now one of a group of four or five teams who are decent but have no possibility whatsoever of winning the title. We just happened to (barely) finish at the top of that group this year with a couple of heart-stopping razor-thin wins over other teams in the group, but we showed absolutely zero potential to climb out of the group and back into the elite.

The only person kidding here is you...and you're only kidding yourself.

Wrong. 10 wins in 1991 and 1993 put together is at least as many as we can possibly have this year.

Wrong. DiNardo's 1996 team had a better record than we can possibly have this year, and his 1997 team will have a better one if we don't beat Penn State.

Quote something in particular that is stupid and I'll try to answer that question.

If your question is "are you 100% serious about everything you're saying", then the answer is no. I do think it's ludicrous to act like LSU hasn't fallen off compared to the 03-07 timeframe, but I'm unsure (instead of completely sure, as it sounds in this thread) that the hey-days are over.

In other words, I'll be surprised if Miles turns it around, but I wouldn't bet my house that he won't. The point remains that we have fallen off to some extent, and I was genuinely asking what people thought about it. The question was prompted by me seeing the 3 Ls on the homepage and realizing that I don't even think it's a big deal anymore. My expectations have dropped a long way from what they were in 05. That's the point about the SEC West. Surely I'm not the only one here who pretty much expected LSU to win the West for 3 or 4 years there. Now only a truly myopic fan would expect that.

What are you basing this inane tirade on? We were one horrible interception call away from possibly beating the best team in the nation. We were a couple dozen no holding calls away from having a shot at Florida. Ole Miss was a disastor but steps are being taken to fix the problem. What exactly should be done, in your opinion? Fire the third winningest coach in school history because he hasn't won the toughest conference title on the planet every year?
