tell me why wilson is such a great recruiter

i went and looked at tennesse's recruiting, and can't find one single person that wilson has recruited in the last 2 years.
I thought he was supposed to be a great recruiter?
am i missing something?

Think it has something to do with his ties in Louisiana, more-so in New Orleans and he is also good with John-Curtis.

He wasn't in Louisiana being in Tennessee...now he's at LSU.

New Orleans isn't what it used to be. I just hope the guy can recruit Houston. LSU recruits itself in LA. It's the surrounding states that make a recruiter good.

Well let me tell you what Wilson has done for us so far:
Got Blue to commit
Got Reed to reconsider LSU
Started a good relationship with Hilliard
What He can do for us:
Switch Anthony Johnson

I'm no recuiting guru but I think this statement is overstated. Sure there are lots of kids who grow up as LSU fans and wouldn't think about going elsewhere if they get an offer from the Tigers. But it seems like we used to loose some kids to places like the U, to Fla. State, etc. And more recently to schools like USC and even Auburn.
And I'm sure our good neigbhor over in Alabama is always on the lookout to poach a couple of kids. Seems to have spent a little time in the State when he first got hired over there.
Speaking of whom, I thought a big thing when he took over was "putting a fence around the State". Why was that necessary if the school recruits itself totally?

considering he's only been on their staff for a year it doesn't surprise me that you couldn't find anything for the past "2 years."

One thing that is going to suck is when Wilson starts locking LA down and establishing even more relationships here...its REALLY going to suck when he decides to leave LSU.
Its all in his master scheme of things...get more relationships so he can recruit hard and heavy against LSU in the future...
