St. Rose Club
Acadian I think...which ever one is the pot roast with cheese and bacon

All with a side of bacon/cheese hashbrowns.

Wednesday is fried chicken day.

Only thing I was never a fan of was the red beans. Always too watery.

Screw the sandwich. Get the pecan smoked brisket, with sweet potato souffle, corn bread dressing, and green beans. Or whatever 3 sides you want. The brisket and pot roast are both money though. As is the Zeeland Slam breakfast.

Stephanie Phares is a champ, used to have a class with her at LSU way back in the day.

She also was once a great chef at Louie's original location before their move to current location.

She and the crew, run a great place.

+1 on the brisket, cornbread dressing, and sweet potatoes. The drum with fruit (forgot what kind) salsa is awesome too.

Most things are good for lunch. Black drum and Acadian sandwich are awesome. Breakfast is good, but not up to Louie's level. PRICEY, will set you back 15 or 16 per person for lunch for the plate specials.

Some specials may be up there (like the drum or the seared tuna salad), but I know that most are not. Most are $10 or below.

Try $8.99 for the brisket or pot roast.

That's probably cheaper than a Caniac.

Went today... was not impressed. Gumbo tasted like Campbell's straight from the can. Red beans & rice was undercooked and had no flavor/seasoning. Poboy was small and overpriced. Will not go back.
