Texas Kicked a FG With 1 Second; LSU Could Not

Why is that? How could Texas kick the FG with 1 second left and we could not? Plus, We should have had 3 seconds on the clock against Ole Miss if the refs would have put the right amount of time back on the clock. What a shame.
Edit: This was a stupid question. I wasn't thinking about the fact that the time had stopped and was just thinking about the 1 second similarity. For those who answered, I appreciate it.

Texas clock started on the ball movement, LSU cloack started on the ref

Think about this one a lil longer...

Did you even watch the game??? Not even close to the same situation.

this, plus they had a timeout, and there was a review. totally different situation.

entirely different situation.
the clock didn't start when the Ref signaled to begin play for Texas - time was out for the incomplete pass.
for LSU the clock did start when ref signals start play because the clock was only stopped to reset the change - big difference.
BUT - if there had been three seconds 0 the there would have been time to spike the ball.

I thought the refs were very kind to TX on that last drive. Letting them get the snap off with one sec is incredible. It is physically impossible to do.

Incomplete pass stops the clock.

Come on. Why are the people on this board so dumb some time. THE CLOCK WAS STOPPED FOR TEXAS BECAUSE IT WAS AN INCOMPLETE PASS. For god's sake, there was a review. Texas had about 2 minutes of real time to get the FG team on the field. LSU had about 15 seconds. Please think before you post.

like every one in this thread is saying, this was a totally different situation.

Are you serious?

wow. This shows the lack of football intelligence that many Miles/LSU bashers have.

I'm amazed that I have seen two threads like this in the last 5 minutes. Actually, I'm not, but all I can do is
I guess some people don't realize the difference in an incomplete pass and the clock stopping while the chains are moved.

The only issue is.. LSU should have had 3 seconds left, or Texas should have lost.
Which one is it? Paging Arrakis
