With Urban and Stoops stying put...in ND's eyes is B. Kelly really a better coach than Miles? Would Miles entertain it? Would ND entertain it or did he do irreparable (sp) damage to his image at Ole Miss..

The only thing I could see Notre Dame liking is his ability to recruit...which they need

After the Meltdown in Mississippi, it is difficult to imagine even a high school being interested.

No, and like the ESPN analysts said earlier in the week "Michigan should lose his resume and his phone number"

It's funny but so sad at the same time. They're our only hope!

ND isn't the attractive job it once was. The coach that they hire will have to be proven. No way will Notre Dame pay all that money for a Weis buyout, and then turn around and hire an "up and coming" coach.

I see so much hate in here for Miles....nevermind he had inexperience at QB the past 2 seasons-starting in the SEC. Nevermind he has recruited well. Nevermind if he sees a problem-he fixes it-i.e. dual defensive coordinators and RP. And that little thing called the BCS NC....yeah.
I guess my point is simply this....the inexperience at QB excuse can no longer be used-the young inexperience parts of the offensive line can't be used-the defense getting used to a new scheme shouldn't be used either with the key players returning. I would say next year would be a better gauge of what kind of coach Miles is.
No excuses!!!

Starkville there is one way to know THIS year if Les is a good coach. If he keeps our OC another year he is not a good or a smart coach.

And never mind that it is the head coach's job to recruit well in every class and not get caught without a QB (a career-ending injury would have caused the same problem). And never mind that it was the head coach's choice to have co-DCs. And never mind that the same undisciplined penalties continue to kill drives. And never mind that there has been poor clock management from day 1. And never mind that no major D1 school has or ever will have Les Miles on their short list.
