re: Frank Wilson

UT's total coaches compensation is still 4th in the SEC. We have room to offer more. I believe he made 150K for 2009 with a raise expected for non coordinators this next season. Do you know what LSU paid for their recruiting coordinator last year? If the numbers are close, I believe he will stay....

You are correct on him being one of the lowest paid but UT will match it. Lane wants to keep this coaching staff together as long as possible. If coach O left, then I believe Frank would follow....

 at everyone. Frank Wilson isn't going anywhere. He is loyal to coach O. These apparent recruiting violations that he is doing as well, please provide some proof. Otherwise, it is pure speculation. Also, the WR production has been better this year over last. Our WR are running crisper routes, g...
ND isn't the attractive job it once was. The coach that they hire will have to be proven. No way will Notre Dame pay all that money for a Weis buyout, and then turn around and hire an "up and coming" coach....

I thought it was a shoulder and head hit combined. However, with it being that close, you can't lead with the head on a hit like that. It will be called most times....

That is my point. But how many LSU fans would cheer for Carrol to take over for Miles? I would bet a lot of them would. Again, losses to the #1, #2, and AP preseason #8 team is better than preseason AP #4 USC losing to Washington, Oregon, and Stanford....
Why would we want history to repeat it self? If we look at where he is going, and apply what you are showing us happen with other coaches in similar situations. We should cut our loses now and move on. You just mentioned how good the sec coaches are now, and we can all see that miles cant com...
And going 8-4 (or thereabout) and NOT getting into an SEC CG is not good enough for LSU. After winning a NC, we've had 2 straight years of this and it's likely to continue under Miles. Just look at the player development, preparation and game management - it ain't good. Look at Miles' losing ...
well, I agree, but I am suggesting we really don't know the legal jargon or the details of the contract if he is fired...
Can you quote the contract conditions if Miles is fired in the event he lost the confidence of LSU nation?
Im saying that he isnt going to give LSU a discount on his buyout just because he is a nice guy. This is his job and it is a business....
Miles strikes me as a man with class and would not enforce the full brunt of the contract...something reasonable would be worked out.
Yeah, he will say "Thanks for firing me and I'll just take just half of the buyout too." Would YOU do that to an employer who fired you?...
Let me ask you this: were you following the Vols in the years 1999, 2000, 2001? Tennessee won the NC in 1998. In 99, they went 6-2 in the SEC. In 2000, they went 5-3. That's 11-5 over two seasons. The following year, UT went to the SECCG and were in position to play for a NC. Compare that t...

I find it ironic that LSU fans are bitching 2 years post National Championship. Face it folks, the SEC is the toughest conference in the nation. If KY beats my Vols tomorrow, they will end up 2nd in the SEC East. If they lose, 4th. How's that for parity. Louisiana has the HS talent to keep LSU a p...
