les miles relied too much on joe addai and he wore down
Why weren't there better RBs on the roster when Miles got here in 2005 SlowFlowPro?
How many "Saban's RBs", besides Addai were drafted?

i'll ask you a question:
why do our OL and DL suck. these are all pretty much miles recruits developed by miles
yet both lines are horrible

Are you serious? Miles gets crap for his interviews, but NO ONE thinks of him as the laughingstock of the nation. Except maybe you two.
Where were you for the week between Ole Miss and Arkansas?
Erin Andrews gets to question your grasp of basic clock management? Erin Andrews?!? When the sideline babe calls you out, and you have no response for her .... yeah, I'm going to say you have become a laughingstock.

Ok rantards and negatigers, reality check time. Last I checked there were 12 teams in the SEC and 12 head coaches. Each head Coach is ultimately responsible for the wins and losses his team accumulates. This year Miles did a better overall job than all but two coaches in the SEC. This is FACT.
What does a doing a better job entail exactly? Well the rantards here belive, that every loss LSU has is the responsiblity of the coach and that every win is because the players are so talented that they win despite bad coaching. Well it is the COACH that is the one who gets those great players here so he still gets credit for the win even if that is the case!!
When faced with this argument most rantards will say that Miles doesn't get credit for recruiting because "LSU" recruits itself and that great players would come here even if "slo flow pro" was recruiting them. Of course like most rantart assumptions this exposes their true level of stupidity.
LSU has been playing football for a long time, and has had the same recruiting advantages and disadvantages for a long time. It didn't do us much good until the last 7 or 8 years. I agree that Saban did a great job jump starting the program but he was actually quite the beneficiary of Gerry Dinardo's recruiting skills in his early years. Check out the roster of Saban's 2000 and 2001 teams and count up the future pros that were already in place when he got here.
This team is fully MILES' team and nobody else's. All his recruits and his assistants and his coaching. This combination produced the third best team in the SEC this year, making him the 3rd best coach in the league! Am I happy that our coach is only 3rd best? Of course not. But getting a coach that is better than those two at the top would be pretty hard to do. Meyer and Saban are in my estimation the two best college coaches in the country. Anyone disagree with that? You might be able to make a small argument for a couple of other guys but its a short list. I do think Miles will be competitive with them going forward...and if he gets lucky as Meyer did with getting a once in a lifetime QB or as lucky as Saban got walking into these last two years of perfect scheduling (the most underrated factor for team success in the BCS era) then it could easily be Miles on top of the heap!
Ok rantards, if you managed to read all this without having to take a nap, you may begin making your ignorant respones!

quote:No, fans are always fickle so they are not happy. But if you compare them, USC's season in 2009 is eerily similar to LSU's in 2008.
you think USC fans are happy this year? you think they consider this season a success?

I think you are wrong on that. Furthermore, he is consistently ranked in the bottom half of SEC coaches. We have a double whammy with Miles at the helm.

Really? He went in the 1st round of 2006. No ACL tear that year. and you constantly complained about Vincent so that's a no go as well. He wasn't drafted.

this is where the execution on both sides of the ball begins on each play.....and we sucked this year. What will next year bring? who knows, but you have got to be concerned about the recruiting and DEVELOPMENT of the players on both lines so far under Miles!!! If this trend continues next year, lookout...

sammich isn't going to answer why he thinks our OL and DL suck even though they were almost all miles recruits and developed under miles

You said Addai was out with an ACL. Besides, was Broussard Drafted SlowFlowePro? And didn't you complain to the board how "Fat Alley" quit the fricking team twice before he finally left?
You want me to bring it back for you??

no i didn't. go back and read

alley tore his ACL that year
please learn how to read. i know you have problems with comprehension, but reading is essential to post on a message board

Besides, was Broussard Drafted SlowFlowePro?
dude tore his knee, had it infected, and then had problems with miles and his staff

i didn't complain. i said he had quit the team twice, which he did. there was friction with miles
it's not the only RB miles has had issues with (see: keiland williams)
Posted on 11/29/09 at 4:11 pm to SlowFlowPro
since you claim all of 2005 for miles
let me know when RJ Jackson, Steve Korte, and Antonio Robinson get drafted

If you think 3 top 5 finishes, a current top 15 ranking, a national title, and the best winning percentage in the history of LSU football represents a lack of coaching ability, we might ask where your head might be.
++++++1. Well said. There are a lot of schools that would kill to have the "lack of coaching ability" that we have now. And people seem to forget that most of us were predicting 3 losses before the season began.
