WM at St. Augustine

It's the dreaded 2nd round of the playoffs for WM. I honestly don't know much about St. Aug except that they have an LSU commit who is a beast (Tyrann Mathieu). I could see an upset here..but I hope I'm wrong. Hopefully our QB, Turner, will be ready to go.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

St. Aug good players, Ok coaching. Like every year.

After what I saw last friday, there is a possible upset in the making for yall. But I doubt it. While St. Aug is much bigger and faster than Brother Martin, they will not be as sound in their schemes. You should win, obviously, especially if Paul Turner is back. Also, dont overlook the fact that Brother Martin didnt get intimidated by all the hoopla that is West Monroe football. They actually fed off of it. St. Aug is more likely to cower to it, as long as yall travel well. Good luck, I have tons of respect for the West Monroe community.

Last time Shows coached a game in new orleans vs St. Aug - he spent the majority of it alone in the stands

This is the key...I will feel pretty confident if he's back. And he doesn't even have to be 100% for me to feel confident after I saw what he did against Neville on one leg.
Osborn really struggled against BM.

He did what option QBs are supposed to do when you are surrounded by a HUGE offensive line and great skill players; get them the ball and dont do anything stupid. He managed the game quite well for you, I thought. Alot of people would love for him to be their starter.

Jordan Allen might not play due to turf toe. If Allen and Turner sit, WM is in serious trouble. If Turner plays WM wins by 2 touchdowns. If both play WM wins easily. St. Aug averages 300 on the OL so Allen not playing would be a huge blow. WM's offense was very, very watered down Friday with Osborne in the game. He did what he was asked to do. He just wasn't asked to do half of the playbook.

Remember the last time WM played at St Aug. the officiating was awful. I believe Shows was ejected?

That was an intense atmosphere.

west monroe offered $10k to move the game up north... st. aug didn't take it. good for them

How is that good for them? They'll still lose and be 10k poorer.

They were trying their best to have an all NOLA final between Shaw and St. Aug. They had the Mayor of NOLA on the sportscast saying as much. Shows was kicked out in the 1st quarter because St. Aug. was...wait for it...BITING WM PLAYERS IN THE PILE.

Remember that game well, Played at Tad Gormley. Shows got booted early. St. Aug had a collection of talent but WM's defense was very good that year, Game was not nearly as close os the 17-0 indicated.

funnier thing that was a Laffayette crew. which historically... is not a good mix for catholic league teams

st. aug will make more hosting the game... they have an underrated fanbase

Highly doubt it. WM will sell all of their tickets at WM before the game, getting 100% of the money. The gate will be split down the middle.

What are the estimated costs of making the trip from NO to WM? Missing day of school, bus, hotel, etc. ?

St Aug has Mathieu, the LSU commit
big time schools are already calling about their 2 JR tackles, both are 6'5" plus
and their QB is a good athlete who will sign D-1, and their WR are pretty good as well.
they have a FS renaldo Thomas who LSU likes, i think he is a JR or SOPH, but is a reserve. He plays a lot though. Big kid, 6'4 or so
it will all come down to coaching though, and WM has the huge upper hand there. WM 34-14
