I think if BAMA loses one of its next regular season games they will drop below LSU in the polls because nobody left on our schedule is ranked. LSU lost to #1 and #3 and would deserve to be ranked ahead of us in the polls.

we are getting the same cred that Notre Dame got when they lost to USC in 2005. All the world saw that the refs made a bad call (PP int for us, the Bush push for them)

And yes they can have two in the BCS not counting the CG. And Bama more than likely in the Rose Bowl

So say we win out and win nicely and stay in the top 10 in BCS ... BCS bowl for us???

I thought it was 2 from a conference and assumed that it DID count the CG.

And...no you are incorrect. If a conference has one team make it the CG, they can only have one additional team in the BCS. All 5 Sugar, Rose, Orange and Fiesta plus champ game are BCS games. Max of two in BCS games from any conference. This is why Texas Tech, with only one loss last year, was sent to the Cotton and not a BCS game.

BAMAFNZ, your post is actually right on. but we would have had a chance to win and that chance was eliminated by one real stupid decision by the replay guy. oh, and its good you didn't make this post last night. it was a good night to lay low.

That has always been in there as they are an independent and not part of a conference with an automatic berth nor can they be a conference champion of any other non-BCS conference. It's blatant favoritism, yes, but no need to worry about it this year.

Auburn is on a permanent skid into total obscurity. Saban has destroyed the program. They do not have the players to compete with Bama. 1-3 star athletes will not compete with 5 stars. I wish I was wrong. Maybe Bama will turn the ball over 9 times and give AU a chance?

If LSU wins out and Bama loses it's last two in a row, then a very good possibility that it comes down to a toss up on which of the two teams gets a BCS invite.

Auburn has their fair share of 4 stars coming up.

I think that Deangelo Benton and his compadres who are 4 stars in 2009 class at Auburn will disagree!!!!

* RB Dontae Aycock 4 stars

* DT Jamar Travis 4 stars

* WR Emory Blake 4 stars

* WR DeAngelo Benton 4 stars

* DB Reggie Taylor 4 stars

* DB Taikwon Paige 4 stars

Furthermore, Auburn is rated #10 in recruiting for 2010. That includes 7 four stars right now. Albeit Alabama is ranked 5, behind LSU at #3.

(I can't believe I am taking up for Auburn)

I can... If Auburn makes itself competitive again it will necessarily result in a weakening of Bama if only from them having to split recruits.
