restaurant rumors in baton rouge

i heard that baton rouge will be getting a johnnys pizza and a five guys burger restaurant. is there any truth to this or was my fat friend just dreaming?

They've had some rumors floating around here about that, not sure when or where.

5 guys will be in Perkins Rowe...more than likely in the new expansion. Its on the 5 guys website so id say that's pretty much confirmed.

this will be about the FOURTH restaurant that is supposed to move into perkins rowe in the last year ... the expansion is going to take a long time ... certainly a place like that would do really really well at PR ... i know the owners of two eateries out there that have both told me the junior thugs running around out there for a few months seems to have hurt the weekend business more than anyone can imagine ... they both said they are seeing a build up of that shite again too starting ..

I went to the Grill Room about 3 weeks ago around 7:30 on a Saturday night and the place was pretty empty.
After my meal, I could see why. They food wasn't horrible or anything, but definitely not great

the grill room's done a horrible job of marketing ... the signage out there is incredibly non-descript, imo ... there is just no excuse for the pizza joint next door and kona grill across the way to be packed, and they have 4 people in the grill room ... there isn't THAT big of an abyss in food quality between them ..

just two of the restaurants that we have seen to coming to perkins rowe .. yet nothing yet ... they are going to have to do something about staving off changing the name to cortana rowe first ..

I think a lot of it is the banks are finally sueing for foreclosure and no one wants to tie up money and not know if it'll hold. I mean I'm not giving Spinosa lease money then the bank takes it over and I'm out or have to renegotiate with a third party. It'll all shake out over the next year then they'll move along. That place is here to stay regardless of who owns it. And it won't be spinosa.

The Johnny's pizza moving in was on WAFB I believe. I think they said early 2011.

No but he will own the Air conditioning...and they will have to buy the chilled water from him.
