Although I haven't been to all of the good steakhouses in Houston, I disagree with the majority that Pappas Bros is the best. I've had much better steaks at Perry's. There is even a place in Lubbock that has a much better steak than Pappas. Pappas is, however, a very nice restaurant and its bar and the appetizers it offers are superb.

I'd say any of the top 3-4 are very good and it's just personal preference at that point.

In no particular order

Killen's
Tony's
Perry's
Pappa's Brothers
Capital Grille
Vic and Anthony's

And many others I'm sure. I've heard from someone who has been to all of them multiple times that Killen's is the best.

Del Frisco's is by far the best steakhouse in Houston IMHO - far better than Papa Bros

Surprised you didnt' add Morton's or Perry's along with those chains.

Lynn's Steakhouse on Dairy Ashford is pretty good.

You must be one of those people that thinks over spending = good. The only thing Del Frisco's has going for it is they hire a lot of fine arse chicks.

I've eaten at all the places discussed and I personally think the Flemings chain is the best.
