UF vs LSU... history by the numbers...

Since 1980 the teams have met in Tiger Stadium 14 times.
Florida has won 10 of those games.
Florida has held LSU to 13 points or less 9 times.
Florida has shut them out 2 times.
Florida has held them to single digits 4 times (LSU has not held Florida to single digits in any of the meetings.)
Florida has scored 30+ points 4 times. LSU has never scored more than 28.
Florida has won by margins of 14 or more points 8 times (55, 29, 21, 20, 18, 16, 14, 14, 12, 3) (LSU has never won by more than 7. (7, 4, 4, 3)
Just food for thought... I think you will need another miracle perfomance (or 5) on 4th down and a complete collapse of our defense to be in this game. I have read a lot of talk on here and you seem to be very confident. My question is: If we do (which I expect) win, by any margin, will the same number of you come back hear and eat your crow?

Why did you start with 1980?
So we shouldn't be confident in our team? Should we all just stay home. What happened in 1980 has absolutely no effect on what happens in 2009.
I really really dislike the arrogance and snobbery of UF.

Because Florida had not won an SEC title before 1991. Charter member of the SEC...

and what happened to the Gators in TS before 1980? I wouldn't want to talk about that either. Weak attempt at spin!

mildly interesting, but you forgot this one:
Zero (0) CURRENT UF players have won a game in Tiger Stadium. Same for the CURRENT coach.
Your "trend" statistics are fun to read but are mostly irrelevant in regards to the 2009 contest.

Food for thought: That wasn't a miracle performance. That was destiny. That was determination. That was the purple and gold flowing through our players veins.
That was a piss poor defensive effort on your team's part.
What was the license plate on that TRUCK?

Starting in 1980 is convenient. Florida was pretty much LSU's bitch before 1980.
Also, 1980-2000 in Tiger Stadium means jack shite. LSU isn't remotely close to the turribleness of most of those teams.

Florida has a good team, and arguably a much better team than LSU this year based on season results to date. I have never found many Florida fans who give their opponents much credit. I don't know if I ever want to venture back to Gainesville. Their fans seem to generally be very arrogant about the UF team, although I imagine this stems from the Spurrier days. Prior to Spurrier Florida was nothing special. It is this attitude which causes so many fans from other schools to detest the Gators.

Actually, they were very good at cheating.

In the 1980's LSU went 3-1-1 in Gainesville. It has nothing to do with what will happen Saturday in Baton Rouge.
the lizards.

I see a trend here:
UF's arrogance, whether you think it justified or not, is highly annoying.
There is no team in the SEC I like to see lose more than them.
It has nothing to do with their mascot, questionable color scheme, or their preference for jorts.
It's their attitude that rubs me the wrong way.
Said attitude is evident in the OP.

Who is this prick? What relevance do the facts stated above have with this game on Saturday? Our defense is playing great ball right now, and you seriously have no one at WR that strikes fear in an opposing defense. Deonte Thompson is having a much worse case of the drops then LaFell had his first year of play. The fact that Tebow was a short yardage/running threat is now gone regardless of if he plays or not. Brantley isn't a running quarterback, and if Tebow does play I promise they wont dial up any runs due to his safety. Plus, if Brantley has to have his first ever start at NIGHT in DEATHVALLEY then God save him. Your arrogance is laughable and don't bring that "I think you will need another miracle performance..." bullshite.

Actually LSU was only 9-5 aganist them. Not really impressive.

Acutally no they weren't It's was a very close series. LSU was 14-10-2 aganist them. Again, not that impressive. UF has always played good aganist LSU.
LSU was definitely UF's bitch from 1990 till about 2000. I'm a die hard LSU fan and at can admit the truth!
