I think everyone's expectations are way too high. Under Saban we blew out inferior opponents. If we were better than a team we squashed them, we got use to that! This is not a Nick Saban coached team. for better or WORSE, it is what it is. This team plays just good enough to win. There isn't a person on this board who can tell me that we play to our potential. There isn't a person on this board that can tell me we are improving (offensive line/ play calling)!

The problem is a complacency that comes with 3.5 million a year. See defense exibit A Jamarcus Russell (way more money). This O line does not play hungry, they play without emotion or heart, the way Les Miles coaches.

I want to a coach any coach running around rallying the troops firing up the guys. We are not getting the most out of our players! A team full of 2 and 3 stars playing HUNGRY beats a team loaded with 4 and 5 stars not playing hungry, that's why we are playing to the level of our opponent. Do you remember when Saban showed the guys movies? He did that to inspire them, to fire them up, if that didn't work he chewed their as_ on the sideline if they didn't play hungry! We have lost that passion, that fire, that sense of purpose and I put that squarely on the shoulders of LES MILES

Could not have said it better myself Les's lack luster deminer is how this team plays. There is no urgency in this team. They just kinda go out there and play. Saban was known for getting in his players asses when they screwwed up. Les just says it will be okay well get em next time

Do we really have to do this?

UAB?
Oregon State?
Troy?

We shouldn't have to be a Nick Saban coached team to dominate the lesser teams that we play. But I agree that a win is a win.

Our expectations are based on our program being consider an elite program...which came from winning two titles this decade. Most, if not all "elite" programs, blow out the teams we have struggled against.

You know that isn't true...don't you?

Up until last year, Miles' teams were MUCH better at stomping a mudhole in teams they were expected to beat.

Under Saban ,THIS YEAR, BAMA is blowing out inferior opponents.
Fixed it...

There is a long list of teams that LSU struggled to beat or got beat by when Saban was here. LSU had exactly one season where they played mostly dominant football under Saban and during that season, we still got ZOOKED by UF at home and needed a miracle busted play TD to beat UGA at home after Sabans D gave up yet another "big play" TD late in a game.
