Most concussions are treated by signs and symptoms. Baserd on how bad the concussion is will determine the length of him being out. Usually, they can return to play after all the signs and symptoms are gone. When this happens they will get the persons heart rate up. If the signs and symptoms don't come back they are usually cleared to play.

I was thinking this too until he vomited. Thats a really bad sign and when I got my concussion the doctor told me vomiting usually means the person can't do anything active (sports-wise) for at least 2-3 weeks. Granted they were different situations and I obveously didn't have the pressure of playing in a huge NCAA game.

He did have the flu, so that could be why he may have as well. I say Tebow plays, unless the doctors say no.

When Tim Tebow gets a concussion he does not 'heal' from the concussion.

Tim Tebow grows a new brain, one even better than before. Takes about a week.

You meant to say the flu had Tebow, right?

It's not bruised ribs, it's a bruised brain. Tebow will not have the option to "man up" and play. You don't frick around with this. It will be the training staff's call. And if they are thinking of the welfare of Tim Tebow, he'll be holding a clipboard next Saturday night. That's assuming the concussion was as bad as it looked. The vomiting kinda re-enforces that

It would be easy for us if he doesn't play, but if he does and we beat UF w/ Tebow in the game that gives us more respect from everyone. I'd rather see him play b/c if we lose to a 2nd string QB at home that will drop us far in the polls

I hope he plays, as long as they give him clearance.

Two reasons

1) So that we get the real Gators and we find out who we really are.

2) Easier to prepare for Tebow. We know what he brings. This other QB would change their gameplan considerably.

Nah. Then we'll have to deal with "Tebowgate". If he plays and we win, it's b/c Tebow wasn't 100%. If he doesn't play and we win, obviously it's b/c he didn't play.

Hopefully we get things cleaned up this week. Otherwise, we don't have to worry about either of those situations b/c we won't be winning anyway.

I think Tebow will be pulled to play even more if LSU wins at UGA. It will be very interesting to see, but a severe concussion is not an injury that you rush back from. It will be interesting to see how all involved handle this.
