Charles Scott
Trindon
Keiland
JJ
Shep
Lafell
Dickson
Our head coach was a long time OC and designer of offenses.
Our OC is among the most respected in college football.
I am flummoxed.
Befuddled.
I can not wrap my head around this futility.
I can not make any sense of what my eyes are seeing.
I spent the offseason looking forward to our pinball offense that would score 42 pts per game.
I just don't get it.
Would somebody please assure me this is correctable, because if not it is THE biggest disconnect between offensive talent and offensive results in LSU history.

It's the OL. They are playing horrible. If we can't get a running game going, we are pretty much SOL on offense to put up big numbers. we can't even keep consistent long drives. That is the issue.

We'll be better next year after most of those guys are gone.

it is correctable....sync up between JJ and his world class recievers will spread the field, reduce blitzes and open the running game....JJ is still a little off target and also is not working through his progression...once that is fixed, we will be fine....
that said, it is kinda getting to be time to fix this shite...

Hard to work through your progressions when the OL is giving you absolutely no time to throw.

with those skill players, its a damn shame we are 105th

Its called that we have a bad OL combined with terrible coaching. I am not surprised. This is Les Miles brand of football.

how many 3rd downs did we convert yesterday?
2, maybe 3?
2, maybe 3?

It is a vicious cycle. Nobody respects our passing game and so they WILL bring the heat and make JJ beat us. It kills us on the ground as well.

No shite. You think we are bad this year. We will for sure lose 5 games next year.

Unless we institute a WV/Michigan type offense. Assuming that we get Seastrunk, Sheppard would kill in that style of offense.

We have faced four damn strong defenses

That would be 2, 2 of 13 I think.
That is hideous. Hell we had like 8 punts, counting the air mail

Crowton needs to accept reality .
He needs to throw the ORTHODOXY out.
If that means Shep gets seven carries in a row, whatever.
Keep the O moving downfield.
This three and OUT crap is getting old.
Spread it out, take super-wide splits, whatever.
If we are now a finesse team, then hell yeah EMBRACE it.
Lets stop pretending we are a power football team and play to our personnel,(or lack of personnel) even if that means accepting an identity that slaps our egos in the face.
I freaking LOVE these guys, these coaches and want them to WIN!

correctable?
We have 6 days, big balls, a Wizard for an OC, the fastest man in football runnning short field reverses, 3 good quarterbacks (1 of which is trusted passing), an offensive line that looks like they can't break wind, and a tight end that's ignored by all.
Thank God its Georgia...we've still got a chance.
Oh, and they've seen our secret weapon.
We got a shot?

I wish we would pick ONE offense to run instead of trying several
and for the love of God, if something works, lets do it more than twice the whole game

Ive been confused for 4 years trying to figure out why everyone thinks Trindon, is such a big time player. Its nice he's fast but what has he actually dominated at his time at LSU (besides the track field) that he needs to be getting the ball more often. I agree on this post that Keiland and Charles are two nice backs and Lafell, has NFL potential. But we dont know nothing bout Shep and JJ yet. Ive always felt dickson is over-rated in terms of LSU tight ends (laflour, royal, etc ).. Obviously, something is not clicking With Miles and Crowton. If crowton wants to run the "spread" then why we recruit Jarret Lee, Chris Garret, and now Zach Lee. Why we want backs like Williams, Scott, Ridley..something isnt right. Im basing this on "spreads" like Michigan, Florida, West Virginia, and Oregon. Obviously we dont have the Personel to run this, so something has to change between Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator

Half of our offensive yards came on 3 plays yesterday. That kinda bothers me

there are several types of spread offenses out there, we don't need the spread option one
