RileyTime, did you happen to play football for St. Amant while you were being raised there? Did you even graduate from St. Amant High? The Gators have had their moments over the years but alumni (if you did earn a diploma)like you should just shut up if you have nothing good to say. Didn't your momma teach you that?

it wasn't so much that st amant sucks at football (when i was there we were awesome. just had all those damn lafayette teams in the playoffs). but who is the greatest player to come out of there and play for any college, much less lsu? that was more what they were talking about i think. not that sta sucks.

Destrehan - Rondell Mealey; althought Jordan Jefferson can pass him up if he ends up having a great career at LSU.

Breaux Bridge - Dominick Davis. Him and Toefield were an awesome 1,2 punch

Finally someone gave props to Breaux Bridge, and Dom. I was a senior, he was a freshman. One of the sneakiest and fastest I've played with.

For a high schooler, his hands were amazing.

I remember going watch a game when he was a senior.

In the first 2 possessions, Dom touched the ball twice. One was a 70-something yard punt return. The other was a 60-something yard run.

GOHS had Spencer Smith and Dennis Kimbell, they came out the same year, 1975 class and signed with the Tigers. Both played for Vince "Chico" Gonzalez. Spencer was a Parade AA at LB ended up playing OG at LSU.

I still talk with Chico Jr. every now and then.
