Can we get smarter fans?

What is so impressive about a Bama team that was only winning 20-14 with 3:15 left in the 3rd?

What is so impressive about an Ole Miss team that was only winning 17-7 at half vs Memphis?

Don't even try it with Auburn or Arkansas. Auburn was 23-13 going into the 4th - 13-10 at half - vs La Tech and Arkansas has only played the 'powerful' Missouri St.

All this damned 'we aren't very good' shite is just that - shite. Especially when the same people put USC in their top 3 after barely beating Ohio St - a team that came a 2 pt conversion away from OT with NAVY.

Put down the crackpipe and get a puss-tissue; there is no reason to be so down on LSU right now.

maybe becauswe both those teams scored over 20 additional pointsfrom the score you stated to finish the game --they finished strong in 4th quarter--and bedcause bama has top 5 defence and ole miss has top 5 quarterback

if i use your idiotic logic with LSU then they beat 2 mediocre teams by less than the deficit that bama and ole miss had at half time........so i dont see what LSU has done to make you think they can beat those 2 teams how about you look at bama putting up 498 yards offence and holding VT to 198 yards offense

you should check your own intelligence before questioning ours

Didn't we lose 5 games last year?

So losing only 4 games this year would be an improvement. Or am I missing something?

If we lose SEC Champ Game & Bowl Game we could be a 4 loss team - that's the only way.

TRUE

This is very difficult for me to say as I will be watching every play of every game but unless there is major improvement on the OL, DL, and Punting, LSU will be fortunate losing only 4 games.

If this kind of play continues, especially from the offensive line during our tough SEC games, yes.

The defense happened to play well versus an unseasoned QB and an offense that's annually ranked in the 100s. The jury's still out.

False. It'd be a miracle if we only lost 4 games this year. I'd say 5-6 at least.

we have a reasonably good chance to go 10-2 to 9-3.

If by "a reasonably good", you mean "absolutely no fricking", then yes, I agree.

I have more confidence in the team so far this year because at least the team has shown improvement on both sides of the ball so far.

I've seen no improvement on either side of the ball. We're throwing fewer interceptions on offense, but offsetting that with no blocking and no downfield passing threat. On defense, we're actually worse than last year, and I didn't think that was possible.

right now I think any team we play from outside the state of Louisiana has a pretty decent chance of beating us

Unfortunately we will get crushed by florida...maybe bama....

There's no maybe about Bama. Nick Saban's defense will absolutely devour any offense that can't complete a pass more than 10 yards down the field. If you thought Vandy was getting to Jefferson, you ain't seen nothing yet. Bama will be all over his arse before he even knows he's taken the snap. Since they don't have to worry about covering receivers downfield, they'll be able to stack the box and blitz at will with impunity. I honestly would not be surprised to see us accumulate negative total offensive yardage in that game because of all the sacks and TFLs.

The offense is just awful. The O-line is not impressive. The running game is not dominating with the exception of a nice game by KW tonight.

KW is the damn starting RB right now.

Scott(basically starting FB) ypc is 4.0
Williams(starting RB) ypc is 7.2

I don't know why you think that isn't extremely solid.

Jefferson is throwing a lot of short passes but not very effective going down field.

Who gives a shite at this point? The guy is 65% in two games and has zero turnovers.

can't get off the field on third downs

WTF? Vandy goes 4/15 and you still don't give the LSU defense any slack.

FIU went 7/17 on the almighty Bama defense. Does the Bama defense suck?
