Band at Washington Game

I just read DD and he said the band would be there..but he didn't say they would be playing there. Will the Tiger Band be allowed to play or is this some sort of SLAC-10 ploy?

we are only bringing the pep band, they cant do a halftime show with that

We are bringing 50 members. We will most definitely play music pregame, just not while UW's band is on the field. We will not march on the field, only into the stadium.
And for what its worth, in 2007 the Kentucky band directors called our 50-member band a "pep band on steroids". We will definitely "be heard".

I hope so, but I have a feeling that in a 72,000 seat open stadium, with Washington's full band playing everytime LSU's 50 man band plays, it will be very hard to hear.

I was told weeks ago that the Tiger Band will be in the lower part of Section 1 in the end zone (closed end).

We have been to several games thru the years(i.e. Columbia, SC) where "only" the pep band has played. Never was disappointed. Even with the "noise" from the 75,000 UW "wine and cheese" crowd, the Golden Band from Tigerland will be ROCK the stadium.
