with the understanding that Locker gets to exhaust all efforts to play football before turning to baseball.

the Angels GM may not like Harry Coleman, Drake Nevis, Rahim Alem, Chad Jones and Pep Livingston in about 3 weeks

Dude, tduecen is NOT a Bama fan!!! Why can't u get that the little logo doesnt mean a thing? Guess that's why he does it though, to mess with people like you

tdouche, if you are actually an LSU fan, which i seriously doubt, then you are the worse fan i have ever seen on here. You ridicule LSU fans, talk bad about the team, and your a yankees fan. If memory serves me correct we had this same arguement a night or two ago. Closet Alabama or Auburn fan? I think SO!

You have anything to dispute what i said? Because i could link the posts where you ridicule LSU fans> I don't see why a real LSU fan would do that as much as an LSU fan like YOU would do.

Locker said in June he'd require a provision that the Angels pay for his remaining schooling at Washington, as he will be forced to give up his football scholarship.
wow...

Nice for UW. They get a scholarship back, without losing a player.

So u can not be atrue LSU fan if u like the Yankees ? I think that is a pretty dumb comment because I love the tigers and I am a Yankee fan!

wait, somebody explain how he can agree to a deal, LAA pay his schooling & have an agent negotiate this deal(albeit his dad). Doesn't this make him a professional or at least inilegible? I'm confused

yeah, this doesn't sound like it should be allowed under NCAA rules

THERE ARE LOTS OF YANKEE FANS IN LOUISIANA WHO HAPPEN TO BE LSU FANS!!!! The yankees were pretty much the only team we could watch in TV as a kid in the early 70's (Yes this was before cable). When Ron Guidry lead the Yankees to the title, people here got on-board. When cable came along, WGN and TBS broadcast the Cubs and Braves people started following those teams.

Not at all illegal since it is in different sports and he didn't "hire" an agent. We had someone do that a few years back from what I recall. Maybe Booty???? Can't recall.

Both Booty and Mauck played pro baseball before coming to LSU. There are some restrictions, but you can play professional in one sport and retain eligibility in another.
Can't remember, but I think Jamie Howard was the last player to sign a baseball contract and continue playing football.
