mccluster had 1200 yards from scrimmage last year

wildcat

don't insult him by comparing him to trinton

 funny

percy harvin was a gimmick player

caught several TD passes and many of them down field as a WR..how many did McCluster catch down and catch down field?

quote:

it's not all his fault

same can be said for RJF

quote:

if you can avoid injuries, this doesn't come into play

on DL it does ..and there is usually attrition, espescially on OL

and Powe may be better than Jerry, we'll see

I like his potential and think Nebraska could best tap it.

he does, but his ability didn't show up in testing. if he tested as well as we thought he would, he woulda gone in the 3rd

mccluster is a playmaker

so is Trindon, but niether have a defined position and are nothing more than gimmick players

just like LSU

yeah, Peterson and Chad Jones suck back there

like what?

dont be dumb

quote:

with their losses on the OL and DL that's likely

still have plety on DL ..maybe more than last year with Jerrell Powe playing more and Hardy being a senior playing for Top 10 money

They lose their big one on the OL but have a couple of guys who are ok. LSU is better though...and our depth is WAAAAAAY better all around

we overrated a lot of our talent. look at RJF. compare him to jerry

find the one 3-star Ole Miss had who blew up and find a strong LSU recruit and try to create and argument angle ..hilarious

RJF is in the league just like PEria...and he was the Defensive MVP and gamechanger in the BCS CHampionship game where Pelini called him the "Best player on the field"

He has ability. He was hurt early last season and then faded with the rest of our defense the rest of the season

where RJF didn't benefit from positive momentum of the season, Peria did
exactly...how much does Ole Miss use Snead's great mobility? not much at all unless he needs to improvise

re: Who is LSU's fastest RB ?

they were talented

not as talented as LSU

best RB was a Baton Rouge reject frosh (Bolden).. and Wallace was really their only playmaker at WR. (Hodge and BReaux are both very average and would never play at any top-tier SEC program). No TE. Two good OLs ..a solid DL, you're right. Average LB unit and poor defensive backfield

Snead is streaky but good, you're right.

But overall, they are very very average in overall team ability. They got by on gimmicky stuff taht worked, getting 110% out of their 22 starters and sneaking up on several opponents

I think Ole Miss loses 3-4 games this season even with an advantageous schedule. They can't carry the target...just not a good enough all around team to do it in this conference

this just solidifies your current status on TD

congrats.
Snead is an athlete, but to put him in the mobile QB category is just retarded

SFP can never admit when he's wrong

to even try and support Lee's season a year ago is laughable

you almost would think he's related to the guy
quote:

a 'mobile' QB like Jevan Snead

some of SFP's best work yet
he has looked sluggish and unexplosive in the various pieces of video I've seen. It's disappointing

ole miss was a better team than LSU last year

I love people's definition of this. Yes, they had momentum and flew under the radar far enough to have a successful outcome. They got maximum output and played more discipline, etc.

But to say they had better talent and ability than LSU is false. Further, if we play them the day we played Bama or anytime before that then it's a good ball game ..that game is usually a good ball game ..it's a rivalry game

Bama: 3.8 (with a 30 yard run)

that's very good against that D. Best game of any RB all year against the Tide

quote:

troy: 3.8

not terrible. Plus we threw the ball much more

quote:

UM: 1.0

when you have ZERO QB play it is easy to load the box and dominate, especially with a great DL like they had. AGain, we had packed it in by then

quote:

arky: 2.3

same

rida: 2.9 ypc

that's because we were playing from behind and throwing the ball. Like I said earlier, we weren't going to win that game no matter what ..they were the #1 team in the country and had an axe to grind after we beat them in '07 and after they got embarrassed by Ole Miss

quote:

USC: 3.8 ypc

that's what happens when you become one-dimensional on the road ..and you forgot to mention USC had a great run defense last year when their QB Garcia was fricking things up to hurt them ...sound familiar?

quote:

the running game was mediocre before UGA and Bama

is that why Scott was 2nd Team All-SEC behind the #1 RB taken in the first round of the NFL draft? ..also ahead of Glen Coffee

they could score on us whenever they wanted

it doesn't matter who the QB was

I disagree. Tempos get set. Lee set it in UGA game and we answered. With all of the offensive fire power (play makers) in that game everyone who was watching it knew it was going to be a shootout from there

Ole Miss game was over after we lost to Bama and nearly got beat by Troy. We had packed it in

re: Who is LSU's fastest RB ?

Posted by MineDatBird on 8/16/09 at 1:18 pm to
quote:

he was worse than that. 9 fricking passing TDs? 7 interceptions? that's horrid

mauck and flynn were not managers

Wilson got that offense to the SEC title game. period. I'd say he managed just fine

Mauck was ok at times and so was Flynn, but all and all neither one of them were go-to game winners like JR was

our offense was packed in and we were horrible

Scott had more rushing yards and TDs than any player that played Bama's top defense

quote:

our D "packed it in" all year. they had 1 good game. bama. otherwise they sucked ALL YEAR

I can admit the D was bad. You need to admit Lee was also pathetic

quote:

our OL and scott going south, while we tried to change to a power running game, killed our offense

false

we were fine in that department until the UGA and Bama losses. then our ENTIRE team shut it down.

Lee was as much to blame for that as anyone..along with Malveto

with our D last year RP doesn't save us against UGA, UF, or Ole Miss

disagree about UGA and Ole Miss. We def win the Bama game with RP

lee was the truth for our team last year at that point in the year

this should be a SFP synonym for "semantics"
